TONIGHT IS Safety Night from 6-8pm at Edsel Ford. Our keynote speaker, Cheryl Phillips, will be discussing the dangers of vaping. There will also be Dearborn police and fire information booths, driving simulators, student projects and a car extrication at 7pm. Please spread the word and bring your families!
All boys and girls who are interested in participating in track and field this spring please come to the cafeteria THURSDAY 2-21-19 after school for a short informational meeting.
Attention boys interested in playing golf this spring. There will be an informational meeting in F9 Mr Pletzke’s room at 225. Please be there if you plan on trying out for the team. Thanks coach Pletzke and coach Clairmont.
For the next 2 weeks, the media center will be closed 2nd, 3rd, SSR+, and 5th hour for WIDA spoken testing. Please do not allow students to come down during those class periods. Hopefully most of the testing will be completed during those weeks.

Hello everyone, Charity Week is almost upon us and we want you to get involved! This year our charity is Reach Out Lafond, a non-profit dedicated to helping Haitians rebuild their country through education. Passports will for sale starting Tuesday, Feb 26th. They will be $5 and can be purchased through your 3rd hour teacher. Act quick if you really want to attend certain events. Don’t forget to buy tickets for the kick off Pancake Breakfast on Mar 18th in the cafeteria! There are many ways to give, please be listening for announcements and mailings going home. Let’s all come together to raise money for a worthy cause!
The Edsel Ford High School Girls Only Dance has been rescheduled for, Wednesday, February 27th after school in the private Little Gym. Tickets cost $7 and will be on sale at lunch in the cafeteria. Tickets that were already purchased will be honored. We hope Edsel Ford girls can support Charity Week by coming to the dance on Wednesday, February 27th.
There will be a quick baseball meeting Tuesday February 19 after school at 2:30 in the cafeteria. Anyone interested in playing should attend.
Tuesday February 19 is Safety Night at Edsel Ford High School. There will be speakers, booths set up with information and people to talk with as well as the Dearborn Fire Department is bring a Fire Truck and a destroyed vehicle which they will use equipment to demonstrate how they would cut an accident victim out of a car. Let your parents and family know that it will be a night of information, helpful safety strategies and fun.
Today is the last day to turn in entries to the media center for the bookmark contest. Voting will take place next week!
Due to a lack of interest, we are cancelling the Dentist R Us program that was set for Feb 20, 21 & 22, 2019.
Attention Seniors! Guest Pass Applications for Prom are now available in the Student Office or the School Blog Senior Information Page. Plan ahead as these are due back before March 22nd! No Late Guest Passes will be issued. You need to have these turned in and approved BEFORE you can purchase your tickets for Prom.
2nd Semester ASAP registration has started. Credit recovery classes offered in the After School Academic Program (ASAP) begin TODAY, TUESDAY, February 19th from 2:30 to 4:15 on Tuesdays/Thursdays, and/or Wednesdays/Fridays. Each class runs two days a week and each class costs $150. There will be a $75 discount for early registration. Funds are limited so it is important to enroll in these classes soon. Registration forms are available in the counseling office or by visiting Mr. Naimi’s iBlog.
