Lawrence Technological University Scholarships:

There are numerous scholarships available for students who plan on enrolling at Lawrence Tech University.  The six freshmen scholarships range from full tuition for four years to $6,000 annually.  Seniors with a GPA of 3.0 or higher are encouraged to take advantage of leading-edge programs in engineering architecture, design, science and applied technology.  If interested, please go to www.ltu.edu/Michigan or scholarship@ltu.edu.

Lawrence Tech Scholarship Competition:

High school seniors can earn up to $4,000 per year for four years at Lawrence Tech.  For more information about the scholarship competition, please stop by the Counseling Office. 

ADC Martin Luther King Scholarship:

Participants must be high school seniors of Arab or Chaldean origin.  Senior students in bilingual programs are also eligible.  Students will be required to write an essay of at least 750 words on the following topic:  As an Arab-American, how would you describe the impact that the message work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has had on your community and on you personally.  Essays must be postmarked no later than March 20, 2018. 

Khan Academy Breakthrough Junior Challenge:

Any student between the ages of 13 through 18 is eligible for a chance to win a $250,000 college scholarship.  To enter, students must create a short video (three minutes or less) explaining a challenging concept in Physics, Mathematics or the life sciences in an engaging, illuminating and creative way.  The winner’s teacher will receive a $50,000 prize and the winner’s school will receive a new $100,000 science lab.  For more information, please stop by the Counseling Office.

University of Michigan-Dearborn Scholarships:

To receive priority consideration for select four-year scholarships, high school seniors are encouraged to submit an application for admission by December 15, 2017.  There are numerous scholarships available, ranging from full-tuition to $2,000 per year for four years.  Over $47 million in scholarships will be offered. 

University of Michigan-Dearborn Opportunity Scholarships:

High School seniors with a 3.0 GPA or higher, will be automatically awarded the $8,000 opportunity scholarship upon admission.  Students will then be invited to participate in a scholarship selection event for one of 25 full-tuition Victors Scholarships (valued at $52,000 each).  To be invited and participate in the selection event, all documents must be submitted by January 15, 2018.

There is a free scholarship search solution for high school students by going to www.fastweb.com.  This website has a massive scholarship database with 1.5 million scholarships worth $3.4 billion, has an incredible matching technology and has real results and countless winners.  Stop by the counseling office for more information. 

ELKS NATIONAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS:

The foundation provides more than $2.44 million in college scholarships each year through its three scholarship programs, including the Most Valuable Student Scholarship, in which 500 four-year scholarships, ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, per year are rewarded to high school seniors based on financial need, leadership, and scholarship.  To find the Elks Lodge nearest you, students are encouraged to visit the website at www.elks.org.  Applications must be received by December 6, 2017.

WENDY’S HIGH SCHOOL HEISMAN AWARD:

This award honors both male and female high school students who excel in academic athletics and student leadership.  Students who are in their senior year and have at least a “B” grade average and participate in at least one school-sponsored sport are eligible for this award.  Students can go online to www.wendysheisman.com to apply.

COCA-COLA SCHOLARS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP:

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program Scholarship is an achievement based scholarship awarded to graduating high school seniors each year.  Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, and their commitment to making significant impact on their schools and communities.  The foundation supports 1,400 students each year, with annual scholarships of $3.45 million.  Current high school seniors with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA may apply using the following link through October 31, 2017:  http://www.coca-colascholarshipsfoundation.org.

AES SCHOLARSHIP:

Any student who plans a career in engineering is highly encouraged to apply.  The website is http://www.aesengineers.com/scholarships.htm.  The deadline for the scholarship is October 6, 2017.

HISPANIC HERITAGE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS:

The foundation will be awarding high school seniors with educational grants to pursue higher education.  Recipients will be selected for their accomplishments in the classroom, community, and for their excellence in various educational categories.  To apply and find out more information about the program, students are encouraged to visit www.hispanicheritage.org.  The deadline to apply is Monday, October 2, 2017.

HORATIO ALGER ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP:

The scholarship program provides financial assistance to high school seniors who have significant need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity.  These scholarships are given to deserving students each year and range in award value from $6,000 to $25,000.  Students may apply online through October 25th at www.scholars.horatioalger.org.
