Dearborn Schools will no longer be providing building covid clinics. An outside organization will be conducting testing from 3-6PM Monday-Thursday for both rapid and PCR.
Looking for volunteer hours? Have a passion for tutoring?
Long Elementary is looking for high school students to tutor all subjects on Wednesday’s 4:00pm to 4:45pm.

The Interact Club is looking for Blessing in a Backpack volunteers for Wednesday, January 26 from 6 – 7:30 pm. ALL students are welcome and will earn 1-1/2 Community Service hours. Check the EF Club page for more information.

Gleaners Mobile Food Pantry
Edsel Ford will host a mobile food pantry in partnership with Gleaners on Wednesday, January 26th from 11:30am to 1:00pm. More information is available in the following link! EFHS January Gleaners Mobile Food Pantry
The Class of 2024 will be having a fundraiser on Monday 1/24 at On the Border. It is hosting from 11 am – 10 pm for dine in or take out. Mention the Class of 2024 to get the donation.
Coding Club
Wave 2 of Coding Club will start on February 3rd, sign up sheets will be available in the cafeteria during both A and B lunch
Model United Nations
Model United Nations is a simulation of the UN General Assembly and other multilateral bodies. Students step into the shoes of ambassadors from UN member states to debate current issues on the organization’s agenda.
All High School students in the Dearborn/ Dearborn Heights area are welcome to join!
Meetings will be held every other Thursday at 6:00 PM

Detroit Institute of Arts
The Detroit Institute of Arts is looking for Edsel Ford’s best artists. Please, submit your artwork to The Detroit Institute of Art’s Wayne County High School Art Exhibition. Scholarship Opportunities
The University of Michigan Club of Greater Detroit is sponsoring twelve unique scholarship opportunities for incoming Freshman students attending UM Ann Arbor in the Fall of 2022.

Yearbooks
Yearbooks will be on sale at Lunch. If you would like to buy a 2021 (last year’s yearbook) there still are some available for $75. If you would like to pre-order a 2022 yearbook (this year’s yearbook), you can do so at lunch or after/before school in F-9 Mr. Pletzke’s classroom for $65.
If you buy a 2021 and 2022 at the same time during the month of January , the cost for both will be $125. Payments can be CASH or CHECKS made out to Edsel Ford.
Athletics
Senior Joey Marano has been named a MHSAA Scholar-Athlete Award Finalist!
Congrats to varsity swimmer Brent Riehl for qualifying in the 100 yard freestyle for the state championship meet. Way to make Edsel proud, Brent!
There will be a Girls Soccer meeting in the cafeteria on Wednesday, 1/26, at 3pm. We will be discussing pre-season conditioning.
Student ID’s are required for all home JV and Varsity Basketball games.
Due to Covid numbers increasing, the school district is considering a spectator limitation. If you are in attendance, please make sure that you are fully masked and your behavior is appropriate.

Students, Edsel is now offering Free Tutoring! Work in small groups to receive tutoring from our own EFHS highly qualified teachers and/or NHS members.
