A little rain rain and storm clouds couldn’t keep these Thunderbirds down! In their inaugural appearance at the Square One Education Network’s Full Scale Innovative Vehicle Design Competition at Kettering University, Edsel Ford Teacher Ms. Reno and her dedicated team of Automotive and Welding students passed the safety inspection for their student built electric vehicle and are ready to hit the track for a day of friendly performance testing and completion against almost two dozen other Michigan high schools. Even more impressive, these students managed to pull this together in less than a month and built a car competitive with those made by larger, more experienced teams who started their builds back in September. What a great group! Proudly representing all that is best about Dearborn schools!
