Seniors: If you plan on attending Henry Ford College as a freshman, we will be going on a tour to view the campus soon. If you are interested in attending, please come to the counseling office to sign up with Mr. Andrew Eldridge. First come, first serve. Space is limited.
AMS Youth
Deciding on a career can be difficult. It can be a struggle for even the best of us. The AMS Youth are hosting their 3rd Annual Career Advisory to assist you. If you are interested in attending it will be on Friday, September 16, 2022, at Salina Intermediate’s new gym from 5:30pm – 8:30 pm.
ACCESS
Access is now accepting applications to this year’s Teen Grantmaking Initiative (TGI)! TGI is the only Arab American youth-led philanthropy group in the country. Launched in 2011, TGI trains teens to give back to their community through philanthropy and community. Help make a difference in your community and gain leadership skills today! For questions, please reach out to Mikala Cox at mcox@accessscommunity.org. Applications due by the end of the September.

Book Club
Interested in reading? Book club is still active! Join us in reading and discussing all types of books. Our first meeting of the year will be TODAY, 9/15 after school.
Film Club
Film Club will meet today, 9/15, after school in room E2
MSA
The Muslim Student Association will be having its first meeting during A lunch on Monday, September 19, in room B-06. See Ms. Sabri beforehand for a pass.
NHS
Returning and those who plan to apply to the NHS. See Mr. Dallas in B10 about a service hour opportunity Friday September 23 if interested.
Also, the application process will take place in the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned!
Homecoming Game/Dance
Students, the homecoming game will take place on Friday, October 7th, followed the next day by the homecoming dance on Saturday, October 8 in the cafeteria. Guest passes will be available starting next week in the student office. Stay tuned for ticket information!
The Arab American National Museum is sponsoring a free youth comic workshop on Saturday, Sept 17th at 2pm with artist Geoff Johns. SSAC
Students interested in being part of the Superintendent Student Advisory Committee need to have their application submitted by September 18. This is a great leadership opportunity open to ALL students! It will require that you have time to lead district wide initiatives such as the MLK day activities and community service type projects in your home school. The team will meet from 10:30-12:30 monthly. The application link can be found on our school website. It is as follows:
