Clubs

Debate Club

The first debate meeting will be held on Tuesday September 13th, in B7 directly after school.  Debate is a great opportunity to practice speaking and argumentative skills and is a good resume booster. Please join us. 

Film Club

Film Club will be meeting in room E2 at 2:45 today (Thursday, 9/8). We will be voting for club officers! 

Orphan Relief

Join Edsel’s new club dedicated to helping orphans. Orphan Relief! We’ll be helping orphaned children, specifically in war-torn and poverty-stricken nations. Our first meeting is Tuesday, September 13th, after school, in E-07.  

NHS

Returning and those who plan to apply to the NHS.  See Mr. Dallas in B10 about a service hour opportunity Friday September 23 if interested.

Also, the application process will take place in the next couple of weeks.  Be watching for an announcement later next week or the week after.  

Book Club

Interested in reading? Book club is still active! Join us in reading and discussing all types of books. Our first meeting of the year will be Thursday, September 15th

Counseling Department-

Juniors and Seniors-

Have you thought about where you will be attending college?  An admissions officer from Yale will be coming to Edsel Ford to meet with high school students on September 13th!  If you are interested in attending an assembly regarding Yale, please come to the counseling office and sign up with Andrew.  First come, first serve.

Edsel Ford Athletic Booster Club

Students, if you need community service hours, here is your chance to earn them! Our Booster Club needs help at concessions this week and all season! This week we have JV football on Thursday and Soccer on Friday. Please sign up on link below:

MSA

The Muslim Student Association is holding Friday (Jummah) prayer during both lunches in the gym beginning this Friday. You may only attend during your own lunch period. 

SSAC

Students interested in being part of the Superintendent Student Advisory Committee need to have their application submitted by September 18. This is a great leadership opportunity open to ALL students! It will require that you have time to lead district wide initiatives such as the MLK day activities and community service type projects in your home school.  The team will meet from 10:30-12:30 monthly. The application link can be found on our school website. It is as follows:
