Edsel Ford High School Daily Bulletin 4/12/22

Important Notices: 

  • Due to parent teacher conferences and state testing, night school classes will run virtually this week. ASAP teachers have already communicated with their students about the work students need to complete this week.
  • Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on TODAY, April 12th from 3:30-6:30PM in the cafe. 
  • Students – make sure you bring a picture ID for the state testing days- School ID or Driver License 
  • After school tutoring has been canceled until further notice.

Attention Seniors:

The Senior Dinner is quickly approaching. It will be held this week on Thursday April 14, at 8PM. 

Tickets are $5. They can be purchased during both lunches, or the student office.

Clubs

Student Council

The applications to run for class office for 2025 (Freshmen), 2024 (Sophomores) and current juniors wishing to run for Student Coordinating Council 2023 can either pick up applications from Mr. Tyler in C-3 or from the Main Office. Make sure to take the application that matches your class standing.

The Interact Club is looking for Blessings in a Backpack volunteers for Wednesday, April 13 from 6 – 7:30 pm. ALL students are welcome and will earn 1-1/2 Community Service hours. Check the EF Club page for more information.

Drama Club: Edsel Ford Drama Club presents the Production of Disney Film’s Descendants – The Musical. It will be held April 28-30th at 7PM, in the Edsel Ford Auditorium. 

Tickets are: $12 Adults and $10 for Students and Seniors.

Edsel Ford Production of Disney’s Descendants- The Musical

The Class of 2024 is hosting a fundraiser at Buffalo Wild Wings on Wednesday April 13th, from 11 am to 10:15 pm.  Please see Ms. Gallagher in B-7 for a flier or show a picture of the flier to get the donation. 

Class of 2022 Prom

Prom is coming! The Edsel Ford Senior Prom will take place on Sunday, May 22 at The Henry Hotel. 

***This week, tickets will not be sold in the cafe due to testing, but Seniors may still purchase them from Ms. Hodge in room E8. ****

It’s $50 a person or $90 for couples.   You must show your student ID in order to purchase a ticket. Guest passes are in the student office. 

Scholarships

Edsel Ford PTSA is again offering at least one $500 scholarship to a senior.  The scholarship looks at PTSA and PTA service, community service, school involvement and other factors.  While it is preferred that the student be a PTSA member, it is not required.

Students can learn more details and complete the scholarship online at this link: PTSA scholarship.  The scholarship deadline is TODAY, April 12.

EFHS Student Athletic Scholarship Application – The Booster Club will once again offer scholarships to seniors this year, but this year we will provide 4 $500 scholarships, 2 for girls, 2 for boys. Applications are due by April 21. Directions in application.

Yearbooks 

Yearbooks will be on sale at Lunch.  If you would like to buy a 2021 (last year’s yearbook) there still are some available for $75.  If you would like to pre-order a 2022 yearbook (this year’s yearbook), you can do so at lunch or after/before school in F-9 Mr. Pletzke’s classroom for $65.

If you buy a 2021 and 2022 at the same time during the month of April , the cost for both will be $125.  Payments can be CASH or CHECKS made out to Edsel Ford.
