Hello everyone, charity week will be March 21st-25th this year. If you are interested in helping out with the planning and leading of charity week you can sign up with the attached link below. Our first meeting will be this Wednesday, March 2nd after school.

Congratulations to Jordan Boyce for being selected as a finalist for the National Merit Scholarship! This is a distinct honor and we are very proud of Jordan! 

SSAC Surveys

SSAC is holding a survey across the three high schools to get a pulse of the students’ standing in regards to the new masking policy. Please take the survey in your ELA class today. It will be emailed to you shortly in a separate email. 

Masks

Students, just a friendly reminder that masks are still required, by federal law, on all school buses. This includes students riding to and from school, field trips and athletic trips!

Superintendent Student Advisory Committee

The Superintendent Student Advisory put together a presentation going over black history month in order to reach the student population regarding its importance. Check it out in the link below!

Enter theMarch is Reading Month bookmark contest! Winners will receive a gift certificate for Green Brain Comics and the honor of seeing their bookmark in everyone’s books! Entry forms are in the library or you can download it from the library website.

Book Club

Come join our book club! We’re going to read This is Where it Ends by Marieke Nijkamp. Come enjoy the book and have fun discussions! The next meeting will be Wednesday, March 16th, at 3 pm in Mr. Remington’s room, C5.

Model United Nations

Model United Nations is a simulation of the UN General Assembly and other multilateral bodies. Students step into the shoes of ambassadors from UN member states to debate current issues on the organization’s agenda.

All High School students in the Dearborn/ Dearborn Heights area are welcome to join!Meetings will be held every other Thursday at 6:00 PM

Detroit Institute of Arts

The Detroit Institute of Arts is looking for Edsel Ford’s best artists. Please, submit your artwork to The Detroit Institute of Art’s Wayne County High School Art Exhibition. Yearbooks 

Yearbooks will be on sale at Lunch.  If you would like to buy a 2021 (last year’s yearbook) there still are some available for $75.  If you would like to pre-order a 2022 yearbook (this year’s yearbook), you can do so at lunch or after/before school in F-9 Mr. Pletzke’s classroom for $65.

If you buy a 2021 and 2022 at the same time during the month of February , the cost for both will be $125.  Payments can be CASH or CHECKS made out to Edsel Ford.

Athletics     

Softball

Softball conditioning will be Tuesday and Thursday at 3pm the next 2 weeks – meet in the cafeteria.

Student ID’s are required for all home JV and Varsity Basketball games.

Due to Covid numbers increasing, the school district is considering a spectator limitation.  If you are in attendance, please make sure your behavior is appropriate.

Monday @ Edsel, 3-6 pm

Tuesday @ Dearborn, 3-6 pm

Wednesday @ Salina, 3:30-4:30 pm

Thursday @ Fordson, 3-6 pm

EFHS Free Tutoring 

Students, Edsel is now offering Free Tutoring! Work in small groups to receive tutoring from our own EFHS highly qualified teachers and/or NHS members. 

When: Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays – 3:00 – 4:15 p.m.
