Reminder to please turn in your signed emergency cards if you haven’t done so already!
Picture Retakes have been postponed and will now take place this Wednesday 11/10. If you have not had your picture taken yet, teachers will inform you what time you are to report to the auditorium.
Students who have picture packets that would like to have their picture retaken, may do so by showing their packet to the 3rd hour teacher, and then reporting to the auditorium on that day.
There are no retakes for new IDs at this time.
Attention 11th and 12th grade students interested in Business and Engineering: Ford Motor Company will be sharing their High School Partnership Program here at Edsel Ford High School on Thursday, November 18, 2021.
This will be an opportunity to go through a Mock Interview Process with Ford Motor Company Employees. For more information on how to sign up, please contact Mrs. El-Mubarak by Tuesday, November 9, 2021. Entries are limited to the first 24 students who apply.
On Wednesday, November 10, 2021, Mrs. El-Mubarak will be having a very short informational meeting after school to explain the Mock Interview Process and to give you the important paperwork that is needed. (You must email her in advance of the meeting to fill out a form.)
Clubs
The Interact Club is looking for Blessing in a Backpack volunteers for Wednesday, November 10th from 6 – 7:30 pm. ALL students are welcome and will earn 1-1/2 Community Service hours. Check the EF Club page for more information.

There will be a Debate Club meeting on Tuesday 11/9 directly after school in room B7. We will go over bills and prep for the upcoming meet.
There will be a Class of 2024 meeting this Wednesday 11/10 directly after school in B7. We will work on upcoming fundraisers.
Counseling
Attention students: Please join us on Wednesday, November 10th from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the cafeteria at Edsel Ford for the College Fair. Grades 9-12 are encouraged to attend along with their parents/guardians.
Representatives from many of the local colleges and armed forces will be available that evening to answer all of your questions regardings programs of study and scholarship opportunities. There will be a bus for the Salina community that departs at 5:45 p.m. from Salina Intermediate for any students and parents who want to attend the fair. Hope to see you all there!
Scholarship Opportunities
The University of Michigan Club of Greater Detroit is sponsoring twelve unique scholarship opportunities for incoming Freshman students attending UM Ann Arbor in the Fall of 2022.

Yearbooks
Yearbooks will be on sale at Lunch. If you would like to buy a 2021 (last year’s yearbook) there still are some available for $75. If you would like to pre-order a 2022 yearbook (this year’s yearbook), you can do so at lunch or after/before school in F-9 Mr. Pletzke’s classroom for $65.
If you buy a 2021 and 2022 at the same time during the month of October, the cost for both will be $125. Payments can be CASH or CHECKS made out to Edsel Ford.
Seniors: Headshots for the yearbook are DUE December 1st. Directions and photographers are listed in the Edsel Ford High School Blog under the Yearbook tab.
Athletics
Attention all girls interested in playing basketball. Girls basketball tryouts will take place TODAY, November 8th in the main gym. Jv Tryouts will be from 3:00-4:20. Varsity tryouts will be from 4:30-6:30pm. All girls will need a physical on file to try out.
Attention Men’s Swimming: Conditioning for the Edsel Ford Swim team starts TODAY, 11/8, from 3-5 after school in the cafeteria. Please bring appropriate workout clothes.
Student Athletic Passes are available for $40 . The pass will get you into any home athletic event. Please see Mr Silver during lunch or after school in the Athletic Office.
