THE PRUDENTIAL SPIRIT OF COMMUNITY AWARDS IS SEEKING MICHIGAN’S TOP YOUTH VOLUNTEERS OF THE YEAR!

Students in grades 5-12 are invited to apply for 2020 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards if they have made meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service within the past 12 months. The application is available at http://spirit.prudential.com and www.nassp.org/spirit. Students must complete the online application by November 5, 2019.

All students who are applying to NHS, your applications MUST be turned in by Wednesday, Oct. 16th. by 2:30pm. No late applications will be accepted. Check with the person writing your recommendation to make sure they have emailed or faxed it to Mrs.Welmers by the due date.

The class of 2022 are taking orders for class shirts. Order forms available at conferences and orders due by Oct 30.

The class of 2020 will be selling sweetest day carnations during lunch on Monday,Tuesday,and Wednesday,  delivering them Friday morning.

Debate Team please stop by F-8, or check the blog for the new docket of bills for your upcoming meet.

There will be a mandatory BPA meeting on THURSDAY, NOT TUESDAY AS PREVIOUSLY STATED. after school in F-8.

Mon-Thurs:  All those interested in joining DECA please stop my F-8 on Thursday after school.

THIS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2019 PICTURE RETAKE-FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WOULD LIKE TO HAVE YOUR PICTURE RETAKEN, PLEASE COME TO THE AUDITORIUM DURING T-TIME WITH YOUR PICTURE PACKET. IF YOU ATTEND MBCC/HFC AND WOULD LIKE YOUR PICTURE RETAKEN, PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO THE AUDITORIUM WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT SCHOOL. IF YOU HAVE NOT HAD YOUR PICTURE TAKEN, YOU WILL BE BLUE SLIPPED TO THE AUDITORIUM FOR A SPECIFIC TIME.

The Undergrad Honors Ceremony will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 @ 8 a.m. in the auditorium.  Please dress appropriately. No tennis shoes, shorts or t-shirts please.

Juniors: Don’t forget to sign up for the PSAT which will be given on Saturday, October 19th. This test is a pre-SAT and the qualifier for National Merit Scholarships. The cost is $17. Sign up forms are in the counseling office.
