Our Friday the 13th costume fundraiser will be next Friday, October 13th. This fundraiser will help cover the cost of baskets that will be raffled off at the Mother Daughter Tea. We are asking for students to pay $1 and teachers $3 if they would like to participate (highly encourage it!), or if you feel so inclined to make a donation if you do not feel comfortable wearing a costume to work. The social work team will be coming around Friday morning during 1st hour to collect the money from each classroom. Teachers will be provided an envelope the day before in your mailbox to put the money in. Please encourage participation as much as possible as this event encourages students to contribute to the success of their graduating class. NO MASKS, CLOWN COSTUMES, WEAPONS (Swords, Knives, Guns, etc..) or anything that disrupts the school day.  If teachers can review these guidelines in your 6th hour class on Thursday to remind them that if anyone does not meet these guidelines they will be asked to take off or forfeit their costume.

MOTHER DAUGHTER TEA IS NOVEMBER 8TH!  Tickets are $20 a pair and additional tickets are $10.  A table of 8 can be reserved.  Bring your mother, grandmother, aunt, etc…to celebrate TEA for TWO at the Henry Ford Performing Arts Center.  Tea, Punch and Sweets will be served.  Join the Tea Tin Raffle.  Participate to win a prize for the Craziest Hat, Most Elegant Hat and Best Hijab.  All money that is raised supports the Annual E.E.F.F. Unity Scholarship at each High School.  Students must be accompanied by an adult.

Students at Edsel Ford have the opportunity to participate in an in-school mentoring program sponsored by the Community Partners for Education and the American Association of Yemeni Scientists & Professionals (AAYSP) with partnership of Dearborn Public Schools. In this free program, a volunteer professional from the program will work with you in fun activities that explore various themes of self-confidence, communication, decision- making, career choices, and academic success.

The meetings will take place once a month and will take between 15 to 20 minutes during 1st hour in the cafeteria.

If you would like to participate, please visit the counseling office to obtain an application. There are limited spaces available.
