Attention Friday Undergrad Honors Assembly Participants!  Please follow the following procedures:

  • Arrive no later than 7:15 a.m.
  • Go Directly to your locker and drop off your backpacks
  • Go to 1st Hour for Attendance
  • When getting blueslipped during your 1st Hour, go quietyly and directly to the cafeteria quietly, sit down in designated areas and
  • Quietly and carefully listen for further instruction.    Let’s show our Thunderbird pride!

The Creative Writing Club will be having a meeting on Wednesday, October 26th after school in room E-1. If you are interested in poetry, then please bring two different types of song lyrics with you, and if not, there will be a fun, Halloween-related activity available. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Sullivan in E-1 or contact Amanda Saleh. Snacks will be provided!

TODAY, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 20TH IS PICTURE MAKE UP DAY.  THIS IS FOR STUDENTS AND STAFF THAT HAVE NOT HAD THEIR PICTURE TAKEN OR DO NOT LIKE THE PREVIOUS PICTURE TAKEN.  YOU MUST BRING YOUR FIRST SET OF PICTURES IF YOU WANT THEM RETAKEN!!

Please join the D.E.F.F. Unity Committee at our 1st annual Mother Daughter Tea Party on Friday, November 11 @ The Ford Community and Performing Arts from 7 – 9 p.m.  Tickets will be sold during both lunch hours $12 for 2 and $7 for 1.

The Performing Arts Department will present their fall production of “The Pirates of Penzance” Thursday through Saturday October 20th through the 22nd.  Tickets are on sale at both lunches and after school.

All students!  Interested in Medical School??   Wayne State and AAYSP is holding a Medical School Tour October 21, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  OPEN TO ALL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS – FIRST 30 REGISTEREDWILL BE ABLE TO ATTEND.  SO HURRY AND REGISTER!   Come to the Counseling Office for Details and registration information! 

Undergrad Honors celebration will be held TOMORROW,  Friday, October 21, 2016 @ 7:30 a.m. Invitations have been sent out to those students who achieved a 3.50 GPA in one or more semesters for the 2015/2016 school year.  If you do not receive an invitation and you think you should have, please check with your counselor. We will also be honoring the students with perfect attendance from the 2nd semester of the 2015/2016 school year!

Attention juniors and seniors, if you are interested in signing up for a Dual Enrollment class for second semester, please sign up with counseling secretary, Mrs. Tynan.  Counselors will be running informational meetings with students based on who signs up.
