The Social Justice Club will be celebrating our rich diversity everyday this week!  Come by our food table during A lunch and Learn new things about your fellow classmate’s ethnicity and culture!!!

Congratulations to our Edsel Ford Engineering Club for their outstanding participation in Saturday’s Engineering Fair at Henry Ford College.  Their design prototypes were appreciated and the judges are already looking forward to having the students at HFC.  Students received cool gifts. Let’s kickoff the Cultural Celebration by wearing clothing that represents your culture this Wednesday.  Come in your favorite cultural clothing. Be sure not to wear any jambeyah or any sharp objects.  Let’s make it a wonderful event!

We are looking for henna artists for the Cultural Celebration this Wednesday.  Please see Mrs. Ahmed in room B-3 for more details!

Attention students who have signed up for an Advanced Placement class for next year.  A mandatory Advanced Placement student/parent meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 27th at 6:00 p.m. in the EFHS  media center.  

At the meeting you will:

  • Learn about the benefits and commitments of taking AP classes
  • Meet your AP teacherFind out the deadline to drop AP classes
  • Pick up your AP summer workPick up your AP commitment form

Please note that attendance is mandatory for students and parents/guardians, if a student wishes to enroll into Advanced Placement classes next year.

Here are the results from March’s reading contest:

  • 1st place:  Michelle Hier with 592 pages read (average) by each student. Ms. Hier’s class wins a bookcase full of books and a pizza party!! GREAT JOB! 
  • 2nd place:  Heather Bauman 572
  • 3rd place:  Jacob Belknap 564
  • 4th place:  Hassan Irani 497
  • 5th place:  Ginny Sullivan 459

Ms. Bauman’s class, Mr. Belknap’s class, Mr. Irani’s class, and Ms. Sullivan’s class each win a bookcase full of books!

Test out forms for 2nd semester are available in the counseling office. Forms must be signed and returned to your counselor no later than April 29th.

Guest Pass Applications for Prom are available in the Student Office. The cost is $5 and they are due by Wednesday May 11th.

Attention Senior Athletes: Applications for the Booster Club Scholarship are available in the Main Office or the Counseling Office. Pick one up today!

To all current sophomores and juniors- applications for link crew are now available in Mrs Haddad’s office, counseling, and the main office.  The due date for the application is Monday, April 25th.  You will find out if you were accepted by the middle of May.  Please consider signing up if you have a desire to help others and enjoy community service.  Thank you!

Hey Seniors! Prom is coming up on May 22 at the Henry. Tickets will be on sale at both lunches starting today. $55/single, $100 a couple. ​
