The League of Women Voters will be in the building on March 31 during both lunch periods to register students to vote! You must have a valid and birth certificate to register to vote.

All boys interested in trying out for the golf team. Try-outs start Monday March 9th in B-1 with Mr Pletzke. If you can, stop by B-1 before Monday to meet with Coach Pletzke. 

Congrats to the Dearborn Unified Hockey team and to Coach Dallas on their 2-1 victory over Woodhaven.Come out and support the Dearborn Unified Hockey team this Saturday when the play U of D in the Hockey regional final.  The game is at the DISC 7 pm.  No passes will be accepted for the state tournament.

There will be a MSA fun activity TODAY, Friday after school. All are welcome to attend.

For those interested in trying out for baseball this year. Tryouts will start Monday March 9th. JV tryouts will begin at 5 and Varsity at 7 in the main gym. Please bring a signed copy of your parent connect  and your sports physical form if you already do not have one on file.

Students! Round 2 for the Unitified Hockey Team playoff game will be held at the DISC tonight at 7:00. Come cheer on our team!!!

Please come support our girls basketball team as they are in the District finals, Friday at 7 p.m. at Lincoln Park High School.

SENIORS! JOSTENS WILL BE IN THE BUILDING ON THURSDAY, APRIL 2ND TO DISTRIBUTE GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENTS DURING BOTH A & B LUNCHES. 

Boys and Girls Track and Field season begins on Monday, March 9th. Meet in the cafeteria at 2:30 dressed and ready to run. If you have now filled out an interest sheet, please see Mr. Tyler in room C – 03.

There will be a LINK Crew meeting in the media center on Thursday, Mar. 12th from 6:55am-7:15 am.  Please be on time- it’s a quick, but very important meeting.  Thanks, Mrs. Haddad

The parents will be hosting Class of 2017 Senior Party After School Pizza/Snacks/Drink Sale TODAY, Thursday March 5.

There will be a mandatory soccer meeting TODAY at 3pm in the cafeteria for all girls interested in soccer this spring.

If you plan on arriving to Sponge in a bus or limo please be advised that you will not be permitted to enter the dance until your ride has been thoroughly searched. Upon the conclusion of the dance, no limo or bus will be permitted to leave school property until all parties are on the vehicle and the vehicle has been searched.

If you are interested in participating in the set building, painting, and creating of the spring musical, “Once Upon A Mattress” there will be a crew meeting TODAY, March 5th right after school in the choir room.

Tutoring will be held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday after school from 2:20-3:20.  It’s held in the media center every Tuesday and Thursday and on Wednesday it’s upstairs in A205 with students from U of M-Dearborn. Please come prepared with homework or questions for the tutors.

Banquet forms for students who played winter sports are due to the main office by Friday, March 13th.  If you didn’t receive a form, please pick one up from the main office.  The winter banquet to celebrate your athletic accomplishments will be Wednesday, March 18th.

Hey Girls, the Sponge Dance is Friday, March 13th and now is the perfect time to ask that special someone to the dance.  Tickets will be on sale during both lunches and are reasonably priced at $45 for a couples ticket and $25 for a single ticket.  Don’t miss out, ask that special guy today! Sponge Dance will be held on Friday, March 13th from 7 – 10 p.m. Guest passes are due back to the Student office by Tuesday, March 10th.  

Would you like to win $50?  The Link Crew is sponsoring a Tshirt design contest for our drive safer campaign.  The shirt has to include three things:  a design, a catchy phrase, and a statistic about teenagers and driving.  All designs need to be submitted to Mrs. Haddad by Thursday, March 12th.  

ALL STUDENT REMINDER!! IF YOU HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN ANY DICIPLINARY ACTION THAT RESULTED IN BEING SUSPENDED THIS SEMESTER, YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ATTEND ANY SCHOOL SPONSORED ACTIVITIES, I.E…SPONGE, PROM, SENIOR PARTY AND SENIOR BBQ!!

The school store will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays during A lunch. Come use your Thunderbucks for school supplies or popcorn.
