ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS!!
ACCESS is now accepting students in all grade levels. If you would like to join ACCESS, please stop by the counseling office or at the ACCESS main office in south Dearborn to pick up a registration form. The program runs Mondays through Fridays from 4 pm – 6 pm. If you need help with your homework, this is the right place for you. This is a yearlong program that is packed with fun. Our first field trip, which is to GLEANERS Food Bank, is right around the corner. Students will receive a 2 hour volunteer certificate. Come join the fun and get your grades up while you’re at it!

Starting on Friday, Oct. 17th there will be boxes from Gleaners in certain classrooms, the main office and the counseling office.  Please donate any nonperishable food items that you can.  All food collected will be distributed to local families in need.

Edsel Ford High School Performing Arts Department presents The Canterville Ghost and Haunted Theatre Based on the story by Oscar Wilde, the EFHS Performing Department’s production of The Canterville Ghost runs at 7:00 p.m. October 22-24. 15 minutes after the close of the play, Edsel’s Theatre is turned into a horrifying place of blood-curdling sights and sounds to thrill and chill all who dare to tread it’s boards! Pre-Sale Tickets for The Canterville Ghost are $8 for Adults and $6 for students and Senior Citizens. Tickets at the door are $10 for adults, $8 for students and Senior Citizens. All tickets include a trip through the Haunted Theatre following the performance. Tickets for just the Haunted Theatre portion are available for $5 at the door. There will be a MSA meeting this Friday in Room A-2 at 3:25.

Attention all students.  Looking for that final accessory to complete your outfit every morning?  Look no further, because the Class of 2017 Student Council has found exactly what you are looking for.  “We Are Edsel Ford” black and white wristbands are now available, and get this – they are only TWO DOLLARS.  You can purchase your wristbands from Mr. Beydoun in A204, or from one of the class of 2017 student council members.  There is a limited supply, and you do not want to miss out.  Show some Edsel Ford pride and school unity – Buy yours today!

Anyone interested in planting some trees this weekend with Greening of Detroit, come pick up an information sheet and directions outside of Mrs. Haddad’s office upstairs in A200.  We will be planting 174 trees in the Greydale-Chapel area this Saturday, Oct. 18th from 8:45-1pm.  This is a great event to be a part of and you can earn community service hours!

Anyone interested in purchasing raffle tickets for the Response to Bullying Extravaganza Gift Basket please see Ms. Hall in the Main Office. The Extravaganza will take place at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 @ 6 p.m.

Class of 2015 will be having a meeting THIS Friday October 17th after-school (3:20) in room A 203. Will be discussing fundraisers and powder-puff.

SENIORS!! JOSTENS WILL BE HERE ON OCTOBER 30TH , AND 31ST , 2014 DURING BOTH LUNCHES!! THIS IS THE TIME TO ORDER CAP & GOWNS, CLASS RINGS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR GRADUATION!!!

Save the Date! October 24, 2014, we will be holding the Undergrad Honors Ceremony in the auditorium. Students will be blue slipped to the cafeteria at 7:30 a.m. 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students will be honored for receiving a 3.5 or higher in one or both semesters last year…if any student has not received an invitation and feels this is an error, please see me, Ms. Hall in the Main Office ASAP!

Any student who is interested in dual enrollment for second semester needs to sign up in the counseling office. The first pick up for applications is scheduled for October 24th. Please see your counselor if you have any questions.
