VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
WANT TO EARN SOME VOLUNTEER COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS?
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP OUT DURING THE COLLEGE FAIR NEXT WEEK BETWEEN 5 PM – 8 PM.  SIGN UP IN THE COUNSELING OFFICE VOLUNTEER A COUPLE HOURS OR ALL THE HOURS IF YOU CAN! 

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS; Do you speak English? Do you want to be one of the high school elites? Do you want to be awarded for your academic achievement in English and other world language(s)? The Dearborn Public Schools’ Seal of Bi-literacy is recognition for students who have excelled in two or more languages (one being English). If you have any questions or concerns, please see your counselor or world language teacher for more information. (10-2)

We now have tutoring every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:25-4:25!! Monday is always upstairs in A205 and Tuesday and Thursday is in the media center.  This Monday there will be cider and doughnuts at tutoring- come join us if you have questions or need help in any of your subject areas!

All Spanish NHS members and eligible students who are interested in joining, there will be a meeting in E-7 after school today.

We will be decorating the halls for Spirit Week. Classes may begin decorating this Wednesday. Classes will supply their own decorations. Please do not hang anything from lighting or camera fixtures:

  • Media Center Hallway–Seniors
  • C Hall–Juniors
  • E Hall –Sophomores
  • Freshmen—upstairs

Any class that plans on decorating its hallway, please only use only water based paints on the windows.

Attention EF students – The vending machines are to be used at your own risk during your passing time.  

Students who are interested in reading the bulletins and doing live broadcast please meet with Ms. Hall and Mrs. Tynan in the Counseling Office at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1st.   If you need a blue slip, please see Ms. Hall in the Main Office…

All students that plan on attending the varsity football game at Thurston on Friday will need to have their student ID to enter the game.  If you don’t have your ID you will need to have a parent with you.

The GSA will meet, FRIDAY, October 10, after school in the Auditorium.  Election of Officers and planning for upcoming events will take place at this meeting.

All girls interested in playing softball in the spring, there is a mandatory meeting TOMORROW, Thursday September 25th in the cafeteria at 3:25.  

Green club meeting TOMORROW, Thursday, in A204b! Sign up for greening of Detroit. New members are always welcome!!

Please buy a raffle ticket from a yearbook staff member in order to pay for a senior baby ad for Mike Gomez’s mother. Tickets are $1 a piece or 6 for $5.00.

All girls interested in playing basketball need to attend an informational meeting TODAY, Wednesday September 24th in the cafeteria at 2:20.

Homecoming Dance tickets are now on sale during both lunch periods.  Come with a friend, a group of friends or that special someone for only $25 a single ticket and $45 for a couple’s ticket.  Dream Big Under The Big Top at the Homecoming Dance, October 3rd from 7pm to 10pm.

Guest pass applications for the Homecoming Dance are available in the student office.  They are due back to the student office NO LATER than Friday, September 26th….NO EXCEPTIONS.  The cost of the pass is $5 and will be collected when the pass for your guest is approved.

Students, you may think that you are not going to college or that you have plenty of time to decide.  START NOW!   

Edsel will be having a College and Business/Trade School Fair SEPTEMBER 30 from 6 pm – 8 pm in the cafeteria. Get a head start by visiting our college visitors ON Tuesday, September 30.   It’s never too early!
