STUDENTS PLEASE REMEMBER ALL SHORTS AND SKIRTS MUST BE FINGERTIP LENGTH. TANK TOPS, SPAGHETTI STRAP SHIRTS AND MUSCLE SHIRTS ARE NOT ALLOWED!

 

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BEING ONE OF THE LIVE BROADCAST TEAM NEXT SCHOOL YEAR, PLEASE SEE MRS. HALL IN THE MAIN OFFICE.

 

Service day 5-11-13 will be held in the Old Redford area to beautify the Grand River-Lasher neighborhood!  They are looking for volunteers!  More information in the Main Office!

 

Please see Mr. Naimi in Room G-103 if you would like to attend a free educational trip to the “You Can Change the World Symposium” Event located at the International Institute 111 East Kirby Street, Detroit MI.  You will participate in the event which aims to encourage students of all ages to attain economic growth for themselves and their communities through higher education.  The event will take place on Friday May 17, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  Lunch and transportation will be provided to all students. Last day to submit the permission slip is Wednesday, May 15th.

 

There will be an Islamic Club meeting today after school in room A-1 for members only. Also, the Islamic Club is hosting a weekend event at Dearborn Community Center about “The Humanity and Impact of Prophet Muhammad”  starting at 6:00 PM, for free, and dinner will be provided!!

 

Any senior wishing to give a Commencement Speech at graduation must have the speech typed, double spaced and handed in to Mr. Tyler (C-3). A committee of teachers will then read and rate the speeches. The most highly rated speech will be selected and the author will speak at the ceremony. It will be due May 21st.

 

Edsel Ford High School will be holding its final Blood Drive of the year. Organizers will be in classrooms early next week. A reminder is that you must have an ID on your person, and you must hydrate and eat a nutritious breakfast the morning of the drive. If you do not have a breakfast, you will be turned away.

 

Applications for next year’s Student Council Officers are available in the Main Office and in C-3 from Mr. Tyler.  Only current Juniors may apply.

 

Applications for next year’s Sophomore Class Officers are available in the Main Office and in C-3 from Mr. Tyler and Mrs. Haddad upstairs.  Only current Freshmen may apply.

 

Applications for next year’s Junior Class Officers are available in the Main Office and in C-3 from Mr. Tyler and Mrs. Haddad upstairs.  Only current Sophomores may apply.

 

There are still seats left for the Cedar Point trip on Saturday May 25th. Please turn in money and permission slips to F-9 as soon as possible. First come, first served!

 

There are less than 20 yearbooks left to order- as of Tuesday. You can not afford to wait another week or until they come in. Once they are gone, they are gone. We can not “hold” any for you so bring your money in and reserve your 2013 yearbook today. They are $80.00 with your blue coupon or $90.00 without. Thank you.

 

Senior Prom tickets will be on sale at lunch every day this week.  The last day to purchase tickets is Wednesday, May 15.  Buy your tickets early—prices will go up next week!

 

Attn Seniors:  If you received notification that you have a textbook or materials fine, you must resolve this issue before graduation or you will not receive your diploma.  Please see Mrs. Keveney in the Main Office to pay your fine.

 

ATTENTION READERS – EFHS BOOK CLUB MEETING WILL BE THURSDAY, MAY 16TH.  WE WILL DISCUSS “BEASTLY” BY ALEX FLINN, SO GRAB A COPY AND WE’LL SEE YOU ON THE 16TH.

 

Any student suspended in the previous or current marking period will not be allowed to attended prom, homecoming, sponge, etc…

 

Senior Prom Dance Tickets will be on sale during both lunch periods on MONDAY, WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAY’S.  Last day for Prom ticket sales will be Wednesday, May 15!  Ticket prices will increase on May 13!  Buy your tickets early for a better deal!

 

Guest Pass applications for Prom are available in the student office.

 

Senior party tickets will be on sale during both lunch periods on the following days: May 17th, May 21st and May 28th.  Tickets will not be sold at the door so get your ticket early.
