Students running for the class of 2013 Treasurer, please see Mr. Tyler Monday to pick up an application form that requires the signatures of your teachers.
Are you interested in cleaning up our planet??? Are you GREEN? Then come by room A204B afterschool Thursday, Feb. 16 for the first GREEN CLUB meeting of the year. We have many exciting projects planned for this year and there will be snacks!!! Hope to see you there!!
Attention Varsity Football players for the 2012 season:
There will a football meeting Tuesday, February 14 after school in Coach Tyler’s room (C-3).
There will be a meeting for all boys interested in playing golf, Tuesday after school in room B-9.
There will be a brief girl’s tennis meeting in the cafeteria on Tuesday at 2:30. Any girl interested in joining should attend.
The annual DATA student directed scenes night is TODAY, Friday, February 10th at 7:30 pm at Dearborn High. Come support your Edsel Ford thespians as they participate. The cost is $6 at the door and all are welcome. All money raised will go toward scholarships.
Attention Senior Athletes: Friday, February 17th all Senior Athletes’ must report to the gym directly after school for a year book photo opportunity. Please wear your Edsel Ford black & white spirit wear.
There will be an Islamic Club lecture TODAY, Friday Feb. 10, in Room A-1 with guest speaker Asia Mohamed. This lecture will only be for girls.
Any students interested in playing in the March 1 Wheel Chair Basketball Game, please see a class officer to sign up. There will be a competition between the classes, with a championship game. That game will be followed by a game between the Dearborn Police and Fire Departments versus the Edsel Ford Staff and Wheel Chair Professionals. Tickets will be $3.00 for students and $5.00 for adults. All money raised will be donated to charity.
“This year’s Benefit Concert is coming up! Come audition to support a great cause! Auditions will be Thursday February 16 after school in the Choir room! We are looking for a variety and please keep your selections “G” rated! Sign up for your audition outside of the Choir room on the bulletin board!”
Attention Juniors! The Class of 2013 needs a treasurer! If you are interested in running for this office you will need to see Mr. Tyler for more information. Elections will be held the week of February 27.
University of Michigan – Dearborn will be doing On-Site Admissions for potential freshmen on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:30. If you are interested in attending University of Michigan – Dearborn, please sign up in the Counseling Office by Wednesday, February 21, 2012. If you sign up for the on-site admissions, fill out an application and turn it in by the deadline, the counselors at U of M will collect the applications and will hopefully be able to give you their decision by the 29th. Please see either Mrs. Welmers or Mrs. Robbins in the counseling office.
SENIORS: If you haven’t applied for Financial Aid yet, you must to online to fill out the FAFSA forms. The web address for FAFSA is FAFSA.gov. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2012, but it is highly recommended that you apply as soon as possible.
SENIORS: If you are having trouble filling out your FAFSA forms, a number of colleges are having a “College Goal Sunday” on Sunday, February 12, 2012 between 2-4:00 p.m. in which experts will help you fill out your forms. They will have tips, reminders, and chances to win one of 6 scholarships valued at more than $2500. Please stop by the Counseling Office for a flyer with information and see the poster on the board outside of the Counseling Office.
