THERE IS NO LATE START NEXT WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 8TH!! LATE START DATES FOR FEBRUARY ARE AS FOLLOWS 15TH AND 29ND ! FEBRUARY 8TH IS SECOND COUNT DAY AND IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT ALL STUDENTS ATTEND SCHOOL AND ARE NOT LATE TO CLASSES!!!!!
ASAP (Night School) registration is open for 2nd semester. Forms are available in the counseling or main office or Ms. Jebril’s office. The form must be signed by your counselor and your parents before it is turned into the main office. Registration will end on February 3rd, and classes begin on February 7th. Ms. Jebril will be available in the cafeteria during both lunch periods to help you register. If you failed a class and want to graduate on time, please make sure to see your counselor or Ms. Jebril this week.
University of Michigan – Dearborn will be doing On-Site Admissions for potential freshmen on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:30. If you are interested in attending University of Michigan – Dearborn, please sign up in the Counseling Office by Wednesday, February 21, 2012. If you sign up for the on-site admissions, fill out an application and turn it in by the deadline, the counselors at U of M will collect the applications and will hopefully be able to give you their decision by the 29th. Please see either Mrs. Welmers or Mrs. Robbins in the counseling office.
SENIORS: If you haven’t applied for Financial Aid yet, you must to online to fill out the FAFSA forms. The web address for FAFSA is FAFSA.gov. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2012, but it is highly recommended that you apply as soon as possible.
SENIORS: If you are having trouble filling out your FAFSA forms, a number of colleges are having a “College Goal Sunday” on Sunday, February 12, 2012 between 2-4:00 p.m. in which experts will help you fill out your forms. They will have tips, reminders, and chances to win one of 6 scholarships valued at more than $2500. Please stop by the Counseling Office for a flyer with information and see the poster on the board outside of the Counseling Office.
The e2020 lab will be open this week after school for students that have not completed their first semester e2020 class. You must have permission from your e2020 teacher to attend these extra sessions.
