WE CELEBRATE MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. DAY, JANUARY 16, 2012
- The Edsel Ford Athletic Booster Club would like to remind Students, Staff and Parents to join them on Facebook. Just “like” them on the Edsel Ford Booster Club Facebook page to receive important information regarding upcoming sporting events, meetings and scholarships that are posted there.
- There will be an Islamic lecture this Friday Jan. 13 in room A-1 with guest speaker Eesa Kadri, everyone is welcome to attend.
- IN 1983…Congress passes, President Reagan signs legislation creating Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- Hey everyone, still haven’t bought a yearbook? Well, now’s the time before the price goes up again! Also, January 19th is the last day to order name stamping for your books…so seniors don’t wait to make your last book special! Books are currently $80.00 or $88.00 with name stamping. They will be going up at the end of January…don’t wait too long! Buy your book today!!
- Attention Staff & Students: Celebrate the end of the 1st semester by having lunch at Leo’s Coney Island at the Ford Road and Greenfield location, Wednesday January 25th and support the Senior Party for the Class of 2013. We hope to see you there!
- There will be a Model UN meeting today after school in B-9.
- Support the Freshmen Class! Purchase a Martin Luther King Jr. Edsel Ford T-shirt. 4 colors are available in various sizes. Stop by F-9 to see which one you like the best! T-shirts are $10 and Hoodies (gray only) are $25.
- ****Barbizon Talent will be coming in to offer a student a chance to win a $100,000 scholarship to the college of their choice. There will be a drawing to win this scholarship and all grades will be eligible. Be sure to get your entry in. Sign up will be on January 17, 2012 at all lunch periods. A table will be set in near the cafeteria.*********
- “Did you hear about the door decorating contest? All you do is go see a teacher that has the pink sign on their door that says their door can be decorated. Sign up with that teacher so you can start decorating it with a winter theme. You can start after we return from break. Sign up now before all the doors are taken….
We will judge the doors on Jan 19th. Have fun with the winter theme and use your imagination!!! “
- Hey seniors, after laying out our baby ad pages, we have realized we still have some space left. If you haven’t purchased yours yet or you thought you missed the deadline, here’s your last chance. We will accept ads as long as there is space or until the end of January. Order yours today!
- Remember: Prior planning prevents poor performance; you are slated to take the ACT/MME on March 6th, 7th and 8th 2012! (That is less than 80 days from NOW, so pay attention in class, hit the books and take some practice tests online!)
