The Yemeni Student Association will have the 2nd Yemeni Cultural Extravaganza Today, March 2, 2011 @ HFCC (ASCC Building) from 4 – 8 p.m.  The Guest speaker will be,  Kipp Cozad (former Peace Corp. Activist in Yemen 1986-1988).

If you are bringing a non-Edsel student to Sponge Dance, you MUST get a guest pass.  Guest passes are available in the student office and MUST be turned in by March 7th….NO EXCEPTIONS!

There will be a Mandatory NHS meeting on Friday March 4th at 2:25pm. We will meet in the cafeteria. Attendance will be taken!!

There will be an Islamic Club meeting this Friday, March 4, 2011, after school in room A-1.  The Guest Speaker is a college Professor who has converted to Islam.  Everyone is welcome to attend!

SENIORS – NEED MONEY FOR SCHOOL? The Dearborn Rotary will be awarding up to fourteen Otto Rowen scholarships in the amount of $1,500 to be used for continuing education either at a college, technical school or an apprenticeship. If you are a current student in a business, medical, family & consumer science, hospitality, or a Tech Ed class, ask your teacher for information or see your counselor.  Send the completed application to the CTE office by the deadline, March 25, 2011.   Winifred Green

11th and 12th graders who are “ACT/MME TESTing this week:  Remember to get enough sleep – Eat a healthy breakfast – Bring your calculator and two #2 pencils for the test – Leave your cell phone at home!!

Students!  Every student MUST have a picture ID in school this week!  Please make sure you have either your current school ID or a valid driver’s license.

Attention Robotics members please see Mr. Scott on Friday about the t-shirts and we will have a meeting on Wednesday, March 2, in Mr. Scotts room D7.

There will be NO debate club meeting next week due to MME/ACT testing.  Next meeting will be on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 @ 4:00pm.

Sponge tickets will be sold at both A & B lunch beginning Monday, Feb. 28th.  The dance is Friday, March 11th from 7-10 p.m.
