EF Report

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2010

Have you ever wanted to build your own robot?  Plans are underway for Edsel’s very own Robotics Team!  Be a part of this exciting and fun program.  Join with us in US-First and compete with other robotics teams for regional, state and national titles.  We need programmers, builders, fund-raisers and drivers to make our team a success.  Participation in this program will enhance your transcripts – not to mention the $13.5-million in scholarship opportunities.  Check out the website at USFIRST.org.  We will have our first meeting on Thursday, November 4, after school in room D-7.  For more information see Mr. Scott or Mr. Dutka.

Any student that might be going out for a winter sport will need to have a valid and complete sports physical on file to tryout.  All 9th graders who are trying out will need to have the white physical form turned in.  Just turning in the green form will not permit you to tryout.

no physical = no tryout.

VARSITY Football Players:  You must stop by room C-3 either Friday or Monday to turn in any equipment and to vote for team awards.

Homecoming Pictures can be picked up during both lunch hours in the cafeteria or before or after school in Mrs. O’Brien’s room A209..

There will be a National honor Society meeting for ALL students on Friday, October 29th in the cafeteria. Meeting will be held at 2:25.

TO ALL STUDENTS!  There will be a very important meeting after school in the main gym for all 10th, 11th, and 12th graders who will be trying out for the Boy’s boys’ basketball team.  Some of the items discussed will include; conditioning, try-out dates, physicals and eligibility.  Please see coach Baydoun in the counseling office if you have any questions or concerns.

Have you ever wanted two whole jars of candy?  Well, Ms. Hathaway’s Personal Finance class is hosting a raffle to students who would like to win candy!  Participation for this is $1.00 and all the money will go toward the American Cancer Society.  Every Dollar Counts!!

Performing Arts Department T-Shirt orders and payments are due by Friday, for the first order.  If we don’t receive your payment by Friday, your shirt will not be ordered.  It can be ordered later if we have enough interest for a second order.  Don’t take a chance.  Get your money turned in! See Mr. Doyle
