Daily News for Feb. 26th

Good morning Edsel Ford. Today is Tuesday, February 26th, and these are your daily announcements. 

Congratulations to the Girls Basketball team on defending their district title. The next game will be tonight at Wyandotte
Roosevelt at 5:30. Our lady Thunderbirds will be playing Southgate
Anderson.  Come out and support your team!
 

Also Congratulations to the Boys Hockey team for winning their first game in districts last night, 5-2, against Taylor Unified.  Join the team on Wednesday at 7:20 p.m. at the Disc when the team faces off against
Willow Run.  Let’s go for another win!
 Students: You will not be able to ride the late bus without a pass. Passes will be issued by your teacher or coach.  No passes will be issued by the office or anyone other than a teacher or coach. You must have a pass to ride the bus. 

Mandatory rules meeting for the dodgeball tournament will take place Tuesday March, 4th at 2:30 in the cafeteria.
The meeting should only last 15 minutes and will cover the fundamentals of the game, plus waivers will be passed out. At least one member of every team MUST come to the meeting!    Remember any team names or t-shirt logos must be cleared before the tournament.   Money is due before March 3rd.
 

The Islamic Club will be meeting in Room B-13 today at 2:20.  Students must provide their own transportation. 

Seniors wishing to be selected as the EFHS Senior Artist should bring their portfolio to a meeting after school in F-13 on March 7th.You will have time to fix, update, or add to your portfolio before the final decision is made (in April), but you MUST attend this first meeting with your work. 

How would you like to drive a Mustang GT or a Mustang
Shelby?  You may have the opportunity to drive one at the Ford Test Track!  75 students will have the chance to drive one of these cars.  You have to write a paragraph of at least 100 words about why it is important for teenagers to practice safe driving habits.  These paragraphs will be read by staff members and the best 75 entries will win.  These winners will then go to the test track and drive some of the best vehicles the Ford Motor Company have to offer.  The only requirements are that you have a valid driver’s license and a good driving history. 
Paragraphs are to be turned in no later than March 26 to Mr. Tyler in Room C-3. 

Senior party tickets will be on sale every Wednesday during lunch.   Tickets are $55.

Center for an application. Applications will be accepted until this Friday.
 

Students: After school tutoring is now being offered. You must sign in between 2:15 and 2:25 and stay for an hour. Tutoring is being offered for Math, Science and Language Arts. Please see Mrs. McAuliff in the link crew office upstairs for more information. 

Today’s lunch menu will chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, chicken Caesar salad, chicken wraps, jello, chocolate chip cookies and dinner rolls.
