Congratulations to Edsel Ford student, Mia Morabito on the acceptance of her Sgraffito carved plate titled Botanical Bliss to the Wayne County High School Art Exhibition at the Detroit Institute of Arts. The exhibition runs June 20 – July 20, 2025 and will be on view on the first floor in the Wayne and Joan Webber Education Wing and is free with museum admission. DIA admission is free for tri-county residents.
Sgraffito is a decorative method in which a colored underglaze is applied to firm wet clay. A design is carved away to reveal the clay body underneath.
