Olivia Makled, a sophomore, qualified to represent Dearborn Figure skating Club at the U.S. Figure Skating Solo Ice Dance Final in Santa Clarita, California September 7-10. She finished 6th and 12th in the U.S. in her two events. Over 700 skaters competed in the Solo Ice Dance series nationwide, which ran from March to September. To qualify, she competed all over Michigan, in Wisconsin and Colorado. Olivia is one of many Edsel Ford students who can be found figure skating at the Dearborn Ice Skating Center both before and after school.
