Wednesday, Oct 18th during 2nd hour we will have an assembly in the auditorium on Cyberbullying.  Officer Jeremy and Detective Williams will answer questions and give information about how to prevent and deal with this very huge problem affecting our society today.  Teachers, sign up in the main office if you would like your students to participate.

Sign up at lunch for fun games and activities during A & B lunches next week!  Winners will get free passes to the game and/or spirit gear.  The Link Crew and Flock are working together to put this together.

All girls interested in competing on the gymnastics team should attend a brief meeting on Monday, October 16 at 2:30 in the cafeteria.

Our first German Club Film Afternoon will be thisThursday, October 12, after school in Herr Sedore’s room (E-10).  We will be watching the German-Turkish comedy “KEBAB CONNECTION”.  All are welcome!  Bring a snack or drink to share!

Anyone interested in joining the wrestling team this year should attend a short meeting TODAY, Tuesday, 10/24 at 2:35 in the wrestling room.

The bake sale after school for varsity volleyball tues/thurs 10/10 and 10/12.

Students, the tutoring club is now available to join. You get an hour of community service every Friday for helping your fellow classmates. If interested, see Ms. Haddad for all the details. The tutoring sessions will be held every Friday during B lunch. if you’re struggling with your grades be sure to drop by.

All girls interested in trying out for junior varsity and varsity basketball must attend the meeting after school TOMORROW, Wednesday at 2:20 in the cafeteria.

Our Friday the 13th costume fundraiser will be next Friday, October 13th. This fundraiser will help cover the cost of baskets that will be raffled off at the Mother Daughter Tea. We are asking for students to pay $1 and teachers $3 if they would like to participate (highly encourage it!), or if you feel so inclined to make a donation if you do not feel comfortable wearing a costume to work. 

MOTHER DAUGHTER TEA IS NOVEMBER 8TH!  Tickets are $20 a pair and additional tickets are $10.  A table of 8 can be reserved.  Bring your mother, grandmother, aunt, etc…to celebrate TEA for TWO at the Henry Ford Performing Arts Center.  Tea, Punch and Sweets will be served.  Join the Tea Tin Raffle.  Participate to win a prize for the Craziest Hat, Most Elegant Hat and Best Hijab.  All money that is raised supports the Annual E.E.F.F. Unity Scholarship at each High School.  Students must be accompanied by an adult.

Students at Edsel Ford have the opportunity to participate in an in-school mentoring program sponsored by the Community Partners for Education and the American Association of Yemeni Scientists & Professionals (AAYSP) with partnership of Dearborn Public Schools. In this free program, a volunteer professional from the program will work with you in fun activities that explore various themes of self-confidence, communication, decision- making, career choices, and academic success.The meetings will take place once a month and will take between 15 to 20 minutes during 1st hour in the cafeteria.

If you would like to participate, please visit the counseling office to obtain an application. There are limited spaces available.

Book Club will be meeting on October 27, 2017.

The NHS meeting TODAY, Tuesday, Oct.10th is only for the students who recently received a letter. It is not for the members from last year.

Undergrad Honors celebration will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 @ 7:30.  Invitations have been sent out to those students who achieved a 3.5 GPA in one or more semesters for the 2016/2017 school year.  If you did not receive an invitation and you think you should have, please check with your counselor. 

Attention Juniors:  EFHS will be offering the PSAT/NMSQT test on Saturday, October 14th.  Students have the potential to earn scholarship money if they earn the necessary scores on the exam along with getting valuable SAT test practice.  Please see your counselor as soon as possible if you are interested in signing up for the exam, space is limited.  The cost is $17.00 and students must pre-register for the test with their counselor.
