The Youth Activation Meeting in Mrs. Lica’s room is cancelled today!
There will be an informational meeting for all girls interested in competing for the gymnastics team this year. Please report to the cafeteria on October 17 at 2:30 for the meeting.
Wrestling season starts November 12th and there will be a pre-season information meeting will be held on October 30th after school in the wrestling room. Starting Oct. 17th “Learn to Wrestle” every Wednesday 4:00-5:30 p.m. in the E.F. wrestling room.
Our Edsel Ford High School “Thunderbird” Marching Band earned a high honors at last Monday’s Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association’s (M.S.B.O.A.) Marching Band Festival at Westland John Glenn High School.
Hey Edsel teachers and students, if you like to read, join the Edsel Ford Book Club! Our first book is The Help by Kathryn Stockett. Our book discussion will take place in room E2 on Tuesday, October 23rd. All are welcome.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy a homemade Spaghetti Dinner and spend time with family and friends this Sunday, October 14th from 12pm-5pm at the New Place Lounge on Michigan Ave in Dearborn. The all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner is hosted by the Senior Class Parents and reasonably priced at $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. It’s a guaranteed evening of food and fun with the tin can raffle, 50/50 and holiday raffle. We hope to see you there!
Last chance to order your “Built Edsel Ford Tough” T-shirt or hoodie before the design is discontinued. Order forms are available in the Main Office and should be returned no later than Friday, October 12th.
Would you like a little extra spending money for the upcoming holidays? Project Graduation 2013 is sponsoring a holiday raffle and tickets are only $5 for a chance to win $2,500, $1,500 or $1000. Purchase your ticket today in the Main Office from Mrs. Keveney. Winners will be drawn on December 6th.
The Class of 2014 will be holding a fundraiser at the Wendy’s at Greenfield & Rotunda from 5-8pm TODAY, Thursday, October 11, 2012. We will receive 20% of the profit from eating in & the drive thru. Come out and support us!
Have you ever wanted a senior to carry your books to class for you? Stand in line for you at lunch? Walk you to your classes? For only $1 you can enter a raffle to have the senior of your dreams be at your service for a day! Raffle tickets can be bought at both lunches Monday, Oct. 8th through Thursday, Oct. 11. The drawing will be on Thursday after school and the senior will be yours from 7:20 to 2:15 on Friday, Oct. 12th!
Attention Student Drivers: All vehicles you drive to school must have a student parking permit. Cars in the student lot will be checked periodically throughout the year by the Dearborn Police for student parking stickers. Any vehicle without a parking permit will be issued a ticket.
STUDENTS: Lunch applications are due in the student office by October 12th. If you had free or reduced lunch during the last school year and think you are eligible again this year you MUST reapply by October 12th or your benefits could be denied.
