Daily News for May 19th

Good morning, Edsel Ford! Today is Tuesday, May 19h, and these are your daily announcements.

 

Any juniors interested in buying senior class t-shirts should meet in the cafeteria after school on Thursday, May 21st to place your order.

 

Teachers, please sign up in the main office if you plan on having your first hour class attend the annual Memorial Day ceremony this Thursday.

 

The Senior Barbeque will take place during 5th and 6th hours on Thursday, May 21st.

 

Seniors who owe library books or overdue fines will NOT receive their yearbooks until those obligations have been cleared.

 

2009 Senior Graduation Party Tickets – this is your last week to purchase tickets.    No tickets will be sold at the door! You must also turn in your signed waiver.

 

9th and 10th grade students:  Do you remember the test you took on March 12th?  Tomorrow you will be receiving your EXPLORE  and PLAN scores.  Be  sure to carry these score reports with you to your Language Arts, Math and Science classes all day tomorrow  since your teachers will spend a few minutes going over the results and strategies to improve skills.

 

Football players will have a mandatory meeting tomorrow May 20th for the 2009-10 school year.

 

Girls’ basketball players will have a mandatory meeting on Wednesday, May 27 at 6 pm for players and parents. Everyone who is attending camp must attend the meeting.

 

All girls interested in joining the girls swim team next year must attend a meeting tomorrow, May 20 at 2:30 in the cafeteria.

 

The Spring Song Concert will be tomorrow, May 20 in the auditorium. Come watch as Edsel’s vocal music students perform oldies and other pieces. Come out and enjoy!

 

The Dodgeball Tournament is coming up! It will take place on May 28, in our very own gym. The teams must be signed up and paid for by May 25.  There can be 8-10 persons per team. See Mrs. Haddad to sign-up. There will be a $1 fee for every single person participating, or watching. During the tournament there will be a bake sale and a 50/50 raffle, so bring your wallets, and your appetite!

There will be a meeting about all the dodgeball rules in the cafeteria on May 26, after school.

 

The EF Book Club will have its final meeting of the year on Tuesday, May 26 after school in the Library Media Center.  We’ll be watching the movie based on the book we read earlier, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.

 

Attention Students:  Testing Out will take place Monday, June 15th at Edsel Ford.  Seating will begin at 7:30 am and the test will begin promptly at 8 am.  If you are interested in testing out, or have any questions, see Mr. Baydoun in the counseling office.
