Daily News for May 15th

Good morning, Edsel Ford! Today is Friday, May 15th, and these are your daily announcements.

 

Attention: football players will have a mandatory meeting on Wednesday,  May 20th for the 2009 school year.

 

Attention girls’ basketball players: There will be a mandatory meeting on Wednesday,  May 27 at 6 pm for players and parents. Everyone who is attending camp must attend the meeting.

 

Attention all girls interested in joining the girls swim team next year: there will be a meeting on Wednesday,  May 20 at 2:30 in the cafeteria.

 

2009 Senior Party Tickets will be on sale today during lunch.   No tickets will be sold at the door! You must also turn in your signed waiver.

 

The Spring Song Concert will be May 20 in the auditorium. Come watch as Edsel’s Vocal Music students perform oldies and other pieces. Come out and enjoy!

 

Attention Students:  Testing Out will take place Monday, June 15th at Edsel Ford.  Seating will begin at 7:30 am and the test will begin promptly at 8 am.  If you are interested in testing out, or have any questions, see Mr. Baydoun in the counseling office.

 

Ninth and tenth graders:  Remember the test you took on March 12?   On Wednesday,  May 20th you will be receiving your EXPLORE  and PLAN scores. Be sure you carry these score reports with you to your Language Arts, Math and Science classes all day (Wednesday, May 20) since your teacher will spend a few minutes going over the results and strategies to improve skills.

 

Students running for class officers can now hang their signs and begin campaigning.

 

The Dodgeball Tournament is coming up! It will take place on May 28, in our very own gym. The teams must be signed up and paid for by May 25; there can be 8-10 persons per team. See Mrs. Haddad to sign-up. There will be a $1 fee for every single person participating, or spectating. During the tournament there will be a bake sale and a 50/50 raffle, so bring your wallets, and your appetite!

There will be a meeting about all the dodgeball rules in the cafeteria on May 26, after school.

 

Tryouts for the 2009-2010 cheerleading squad for both football and basketball season will be today at 5:30 in the main gym.  You MUST have a physical to attend the tryouts. 

 

The  LMC will be closing at 2:30 today.

 

Seniors: all library materials are due today.   All fines must be paid to avoid graduation difficulties.

 

 

 

Today’s sports are as follows:

Cheer Tryouts at 5:30 in the EF Gym.

Boys Varsity Track Regionals are away today.

Girls Varsity Track Regionals are away today.

Girls Varsity Softball is home today against Dearborn High School.

 

Today’s lunch will consist of: grilled cheese, tomato soup, sliced potatoes, and macaroni and cheese.
