Daily News for May 14th

Good morning, Edsel Ford! Today is Thursday, May 14th, and these are your daily announcements.

 

Joey Carty had the game-winning hit in the bottom of the 7th. The team  plays Dearborn for 1st place at home today at 4.

 

Attention: football players will have  be a mandatory football meeting on Wednesday,  May 20th for the 2009 school year.

 

Attention Seniors: if you bought your prom ticket but did not receive a ticket please see one of the senior class officers at lunch by Wednesday to pick it up.  Prom tickets are still being sold at lunch until today, $100 for a couple, and $55 for a single.

 

2009 Senior Party Tickets will be on sale today during lunch.   No tickets will be sold at the door! You must also turn in your signed waiver.

 

Attention Students:  Testing Out will take place Monday, June 15th right here at Edsel Ford.  Seating will begin at 7:30 am and the test will begin promptly at 8 am.  If you are interested in testing out, or have any questions, see Mr. Baydoun in the counseling office.

 

Ninth and tenth graders, do you remember the test you took on March 12th?   On Wednesday May 20th you will be receiving those EXPLORE and PLAN  scores.  Be sure you bring the results sheet to your language arts, math, and science classes all day so your teachers can help you go over your results.

 

Students running for class officers can now hang their signs and begin campaigning.

 

This week is spirit week! The days are as follows:

Today – neon day

Friday – black and white & senior dress –up day.  This is not a pride day so no special cars or limos.

 

Tryouts for the 2009-2010 cheerleading squad for both football and basketball season will be Friday, May 15 at 5:30 in the main gym.  You MUST have a physical to attend the tryouts. 

 

On Friday, May 15th the LMC will be closing at 2:30.

 

Seniors: all library materials are due by May 15th.   All fines must be paid to avoid graduation difficulties.

 

Today’s sports are as follows:

Cheer Clinic at 5 in the EF Gym

Girls Varsity tennis is away at regionals today

Boys varsity golf is away at Taylor invitational at 9am today

Boys varsity baseball is home at 4 against Ecorse

 

 

Today’s lunch will consist of: chicken patties on a bun, spicy chicken patties, French fries, jello, pasta salad, and chicken pot pies!
