Daily News for May 13th

Good morning, Edsel Ford! Today is Wednesday, May 13th, and these are your daily announcements.

 

Congratulations to varsity baseball team for the win against Melvindale yesterday 4-3. Joey Carty had the game winning hit in the bottom of the 7th. They play Dearborn for 1st place at home tomorrow at 4.

 

Attention all cast members of Les Mis: There is a sign-up sheet outside Mr. Doyle’s room for those intending to perform at the PAGE Awards. YOU MUST SIGN UP TODAY in order for us to arrange for your costumes.

 

Edsel Ford Field Hockey players are expected to attend a MANDATORY meeting TODAY after school concerning our new youth field hockey program.   Graduating seniors are also expected to attend.  Sorry for the short notice, but it’s very important that you attend, since our first session is this Saturday!  We need volunteers!  If you can’t make the meeting, contact Lauren Vallee ASAP.

 

All students planning to attend the YAPAC Educational Fair this Thursday must pick up a permission slip from the Main Office or Mr. Ali’s office.  Any student without a signed permission slip will not be allowed to attend the Fair.

 

Attention Seniors: if you bought your prom ticket but did not receive a ticket please see one of the senior class officers at lunch by Wednesday to pick it up.  Prom tickets are still being sold at lunch until tomorrow, $100 for a couple, and $55 for a single.

 

2009 Senior Party Tickets will be on sale today and tomorrow during lunch.   No tickets will be sold at the door!

 

Teens for Christ will be meeting today in room A2. Everyone is welcome.

 

Attention Students:  Testing Out will take place Monday, June 15th right here at Edsel Ford.  Seating will begin at 7:30 am and the test will begin promptly at 8 am.  If you are interested in testing out, or have any questions, see Mr. Baydoun in the counseling office.

 

Students running for class officers can now hang their signs and begin campaigning.

 

This week is spirit week! The days are as follows:

Today – class color day;

Freshmen wear yellow, Sophomores red, Juniors green, and Seniors blue

Thursday – neon day

Friday – black and white & senior dress –up day.  This is not a pride day so no special cars or limos.

 

Tryouts for the 2009-2010 cheerleading squad for both football and basketball season will be Friday, May 15 at 5:30 in the main gym.  We will have clinics Today from 5 to 7 p.m.  You MUST have a physical to attend the clinics and tryouts. 

 

 

Seniors: all library materials are due by May 15th.   All fines must be paid to avoid graduation difficulties.

Girls Varsity softball is home against Dearborn High School at 4pm.

Girls junior varsity soccer is away against Garden City High School at 5:30pm.

Girls Varisty soccer is away against Garden City High School at 7:00pm.

 

Today’s lunch will consist of: mostacolli with meat sauce, crazy bread, cream of broccoli soup, and our usual menu items.
