Daily News for May 26th

Good Morning, Edsel Ford! Today is Tuesday, May 26th, and these are your daily announcements.

 

Attention all Spanish NHS members there will be a mandatory meeting tomorrow to plan the graduation at Whitmore Bolles all members must attend. If you are part of link crew we will have a 2nd meeting on Thursday May 28th. You are required to attend one of the days. Also, all members are required to be at the Graduation Ceremony at Whitmore Bolles this Friday the 29th from 2:30 to 3:30.

 

Thornley Court Club is holding its last meeting for the school year this Wednesday.  All members are requested to attend.

 

Boys’ Cross Country:  Don’t forget!  Thursday, May 28th at the Dodgeball tournament, we will be having a bake sale and raffle.  Drop off any baked goods that morning in my room upstairs.   Thanks     Coach

To all Seniors: there is a $400.00 scholarship for a high school senior from Edsel Ford who has proven an interest in pursuing continuing education in the fields of mathematics or science. In order to receive the scholarship, the student must be attending either HFCC of U of M Dearborn. Also, student must have attended O.L. Smith or Stout Middle School and have at least a 2.5 GPA. If you’re interested, please see Mr. Baydoun in the counseling office.

 

The yearbooks are here.  They will be available as follows:  – as long as all fees have been paid, including library fees and overdue books are returned.  Juniors can pick their books up after school in room F-6 today;   Sophomores – Tomorrow and Freshmen on Thursday.

 

There are a limited amount of yearbooks available to buy.  They are $80 and may be purchased during pick up times after school in room F-6

Did you show your parents and guardians your EXPLORE and PLAN scores? Be sure to bring your “Eyes on the Future” coupon with signatures to lunch today and deposit it in the silver box in the lunchroom. Thanks for investing in your future! Go Thunderbirds!

 

Football information and forms may be picked up in room C3 if you missed the Wednesday meeting.

 

Girls’ basketball players will have a mandatory meeting tomorrow at 6 pm for players and parents. Everyone who is attending camp must attend the meeting.

 

The EF Book Club will have its final meeting of the year on today after school in the Library Media Center.  We will watch the movie, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, based on the book we read this year.

 

Elections of class officers will take place tomorrow.

 

The Dodgeball Tournament is coming up! It will take place this Thursday May 28th, in our very own gym. The teams must be signed up and paid for already.  The tournament there will be a bake sale and a 50/50 raffle, so bring your wallets, and your appetite!

There will be a meeting about all the dodgeball rules in the cafeteria after school today.

 

Attention Students:  Testing Out will take place Monday, June 15th at Edsel Ford.  Seating will begin at 7:30 am and the test will begin promptly at 8 am.  If you are interested in testing out, or have any questions, see Mr. Baydoun in the counseling office.
