Greetings Thunderbird Families,
I am pleased to announce that the Board of Education has approved the administration’s recommendation to have Ms. Rima Hassan serve as the new Principal at Edsel Ford High School.
Ms. Hassan is currently the principal at Woodworth Middle School but actually began her career in Dearborn as a teacher at Edsel Ford. Her first principal position was at Becker Elementary. Under her leadership the school was selected as a Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education which is the highest possible recognition that is awarded by the Federal Government. Ms. Hassan is an outstanding administrator dedicated to helping all students achieve to the very highest levels and partnering with parents to create a school environment that is welcoming to all.
I am also excited to announce that Mr Kaid Omar, the current Assistant Principal at Salina Intermediate, and Mr. Aaron Pfeil, the current Assistant Principal at Woodworth Middle School, will join Ms. Hassan and current Assistant Principal Mr. Khalid Abdulla at Edsel Ford. This strong administrative team will form a solid foundation to ensure academic success for all students as they support the outstanding Edsel staff.
I know that Ms. Hassan is enthusiastic to begin the next chapter in the proud history of Edsel Ford High School.
