Edsel Ford High School

Message from the Office of the Superintendent

May 5, 2021

Greetings Edsel Ford Community,

With the news of Mr. Casebolt accepting a position in the Crestwood school district, I am appointing Mr. Khalid Abdulla as the interim principal at Edsel Ford High School. I am very confident in Mr. Abdulla’s ability to lead the school during this transitional period. He is a true professional and always goes the extra mile to support the students that he serves.

I also want to thank Mr. Casebolt for his many years of service to the Dearborn Public Schools. He has always supported the academic needs of Dearborn students, especially Edsel Ford students over the last nine years. He became the principal during a critical time at Edsel Ford back in 2013 and has helped to lead the school in a positive direction over the years. Mr. Casebolt is a highly respected and skilled administrator and although we are sorry to see him leave,  I wish him success in his new role.

We will follow our normal administrative placement process with regard to a permanent principal at Edsel Ford for the new school year 2021-2022.  The District has a very detailed and deliberate process in place for hiring all staff including principals and administrators. These procedures go back many years. A decision about the Edsel Ford principal for the next school year will be made in plenty of time for the new principal to assume their duties for the 2021-2022 school year.

I know this has been a tough year for everyone with the COVID 19 pandemic. I want to reassure you that we will have a highly qualified principal assigned to Edsel Ford High School.

I wish you and your families all the best for safe and healthy days ahead.

Regards,

Glenn Maleyko, Ph.D.

Superintendent
