Edsel Ford High School

Virtual Picture/Selfie Day Coming Soon

Hello Thunderbird Parents and Students!

We are going to be able to do student school pictures this year, thanks to our yearbook publisher (Walsworth publishing) and their partners.  These pictures are required by the school and will be used for a variety of purposes, including school IDs.

In the afternoon period (1:00pm – 3:00pm) or after school on FEBRUARY 9th, 10th and 11th, ALL STUDENTS, EVEN SENIORS, will take their own pictures as part of our first ever virtual picture day(s).

These pictures will be taken AT HOME using either a computer or a cell phone camera and an APP that we will be providing.  If a student is unhappy with a picture, he or she can retake it until they are happy with it OR until we finalize it, which won’t be right away.  The background will be REMOVED AND REPLACED automatically, so no worries there.  They will also be UPLOADED AUTOMATICALLY, so you don’t have to worry about sending them anywhere.

Students will do this on February 9th, 10th or 11th during the 1:00pm – 3:00pm portion of the school day or anytime that works for them on the dates listed outside of the normal school hours.  The APP (direct link) will be sent out in an email to ALL STUDENTS on FEBRUARY 9th, 10th and 12th.

Also during these days, we will ask that you complete the survey questions that will be emailed to you for the yearbook.

SENIORS:  You will ALSO take a picture.  IF you have been UNABLE to get your SENIOR PORTRAIT, this is an opportunity to do so.  Rather than looking like you normally do, dress as you would for a senior portrait and take the picture for the senior section this way.  You’ll then NOTIFY MR.PLETZKE that you want this to be used for your senior portrait, and we’ll use it.  IF YOU HAVE NOT SUBMITTED A SENIOR PORTRAIT BY FEBRUARY 15th, YOU MUST TAKE A SENIOR PORTRAIT WITH THIS SOFTWARE OR FILL OUT THE NO PICTURE WAIVER FORM THAT IS ON THE SCHOOL WEBSITE.

If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Pletzke right away.  His email address is pletzkd@dearbornschools.org
