Campus Vote Project’s new WorkElections Fellows is looking to recruit 250+ student poll workers through a partnership with Power the Polls to safely protect in-person voting during this November’s General Election.
Power the Polls is a first-of-its-kind initiative to recruit poll workers to ensure a safe, fair election for all voters. This is a critical moment. America is amid a nationwide poll worker shortage. Most poll workers are over the age of 60 and, in the era of uncertainty caused by the coronavirus, fewer are signing up for the job. Now, we turn to the younger generation, full of spirit and determination.
We need young, healthy individuals to sign up to protect our democracy. These individuals will be paid $160-$175 to work at polling locations on Tuesday, November 3rd. A short training session beforehand will also be paid.
This is a great opportunity for highschool students to get involved and support the community while earning money.
