Dear Thunderbird Parents:
Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! The faculty and staff cordially invite you to join us at our annual Open House, which has been scheduled for Thursday, September 6th at 6 p.m. We are anxious to share our recent successes as well as our plans for fostering a positive, supportive, and rigorous learning community. Our Open House structure is designed to maximize the opportunities for faculty and staff to meet the parents of Edsel Ford students, inform them about the curriculum in the courses their children are taking, and strengthen the school family partnership that is vital to the successful development of all of our students. As a result, we will continue with the format of our Open House to allow parents flexibility to visit all of their children’s classrooms at their leisure.
The schedule is as follows: Please report to the Auditorium promptly at 6:00 p.m.
6:00-6:25pm: Welcome & Remarks—Mr. Scott Casebolt, Principal
6:25-7:30: Classroom Visits
*Please note that there will be no bells indicating a change of classes. You are free to travel to your children’s classrooms at your convenience.
Please have your child complete his or her daily class schedule on the document attached to this post (a building map is also attached). In an effort to save time, we ask that you bring this schedule to Open House. Schedules will be available upon request. Our Graduation Specialist and School Liaison will be available in the Cafeteria to print schedules. Members of our Link Crew will also be located throughout the building to assist you in locating various rooms.
Parking is available in the student parking lot off Rotunda by the football field. You can enter the doors by the Gymnasium and proceed to the Auditorium located in the Main Hallway across from the Main Office.
Refreshments will be served in the Cafeteria at 7:30 p.m., compliments of the P.T.S.A. The Edsel Ford Booster Club will also be selling Edsel Ford merchandise in the Cafeteria.
