NHS WILL BE MEETING ON TUESDAY, OCT 10 @ 2:25 IN THE AUDITORIUM
Undergrad Honors celebration will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 @ 7:30. Invitations have been sent out to those students who achieved a 3.5 GPA in one or more semesters for the 2016/2017 school year. If you did not receive an invitation and you think you should have, please check with your counselor.
The Robotics Team of Edsel ford is holding a informational meeting after school. The meeting will take place in the media center Thursday Oct.5 All interested students welcome.
Auditions for the second part of the fall play entitled “The Bully Game” will be held on Thursday 5 October 2017 after school in the Choir Room. Information will be posted on the board outside the Choir Room door. Auditions are open to all.
BPA -the next meeting will be Wednesday after school in the Media Center
DEBATE- the next meeting will be Wednesday after school in the Media Center
CHESS CLUB- the next chess club meeting will be in C-2 after school on Thursday
The Bolt / Newstaff Club will be meeting after school in Room E-11; all interested are welcome.
Any students interested in participating in Creative Writing Club should stop by E-1 and add your name and contact information to the sign up list in Mrs. Sullivan’s room. If there is enough interest, a meeting date will be chosen and announced.
Attention Juniors: EFHS will be offering the PSAT/NMSQT test on Saturday, October 14th. Students have the potential to earn scholarship money if they earn the necessary scores on the exam along with getting valuable SAT test practice. Please see your counselor as soon as possible if you are interested in signing up for the exam, space is limited. The cost is $17.00 and students must pre-register for the test with their counselor.
The Volleyball team will be having a snack sale after school Tues 10/3 and Thurs 10/5!
There will be a German Day meeting after school this Thursday, October 5 in Herr Sedore’s room (E-10). Check Herr Sedore’s blog for more details – all are welcome!
Applications are now available for those interested in being on our district’s Superintendent Student Council. This is a great opportunity to be a leader not only at Edsel but also in our district. You will collaborate with leaders from other high schools and work on making positive changes in our community. Application is on the Edsel website.
The Islamic club will be meeting every other Wednesday starting Wednesday October 4th. A lunch meetings will be held in room A2, and B lunch meetings will be held in the cafeteria. Students must use their remind message as a pass to room A2.
All SENIORS: Any Senior who would like to visit Henry Ford College and participate in Discover Day is encouraged to sign up in the Counseling Office. Space is limited to the first 40 students. The field trip will take place on Thursday, October 5th from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A permission slip is required in order to participate!
Our pajama day fundraiser will be next Friday, October 13th. This fundraiser will help cover the cost of baskets that will be raffled off at the Mother Daughter Tea. We are asking for students to pay $1 and teachers $3 if they would like to participate, or if you feel so inclined to make a donation if you do not feel comfortable wearing pj’s to work. The money will be collected during first hour; teachers will be provided an envelope the day before in your mailbox to put the money in. The social work team will be coming around Friday morning during 1st hour to collect the money from each classroom. Please encourage participation as much as possible as this event encourages students to contribute to the success of their graduating class.
