DAILY BULLETIN

The afternoon session for the Michael Berry Center Tour taking place tomorrow is now FULL. 

The Community Center will be closed on Tuesday, March 8th because of Voting purposes.

The Class of 2018 will be selling pizza THURSDAY after school and then every Friday after school by the bus doors.

There will be a Poetry Club meeting on Wednesday, March 9th in Mr. Belknap’s
room (A-210). Bring a picture with significant meaning of your choice. It can be
centered around any topic or any message that you view it as. Snacks will be
provided!

This is the LAST WEEK to get your guest pass for SPONGE! They are available in the Student Office and the cost is $5. Don’t forget they are due by Wednesday March 9th. 

NHS MEETING ON WEDNESDAY MARCH 9 at 2:25 in the auditorium

All students that are signed up for peer mediation, make sure you have your permission slips turned into Mrs Haddad before Tuesday, March 8th.  We will meet in the media center at first thing in the morning to begin training on Tuesday, Mar 8th.

All students interested in Green Club, please come to A205 on Wednesday, March 9th from2:30-3:30pm.  There will be a speaker, David Norwood, Dearborn’s Sustainability Manager and there will be info on the next Greening of Detroit outing.

The first day of girls tennis practice is on Monday March 14th from 4-6pm in the small gym.  Anyone interested in playing must have a physical in order to practice.  If there are any questions regarding this practice or girls tennis please see Mr. Picano.

The Edsel Ford Youth Activation Committee is having a bake sale with F7 on Wednesday Morning and Friday after school at the corner of E & F by the bus doors.

The drive safer video contest has been extended until March 11th!  Please send all entries to Mrs Haddad. The winner will be awarded $100 and receive a tshirt!  Please see Mrs Haddad for more details.

SENIORS- The DEFF UNITY scholarship is a joint effort between DHS, EFHS, FHS to support student leaders who strive to ensure a unified, safe, supportive, peaceful, socially just, culturally sensitive school community. The scholarship is for $1000.

Actual monies for scholarship recipient will go directly to the financial aid office of the college recipient will be attending. 

The application deadline is Friday, March 25th. Return completed application with all required attachments to Mrs Haddad.  Please see Mrs Haddad or your counselor for an application.

SENIORS! YOU MUST REMEMBER TO PAY ANY FINES AND RETURN ALL BOOKS OR YOUR DIPLOMA WILL BE HELD!!

STUDENTS!  If you are assigned LAST CHANCE MONDAY DETENTION, and you do not serve it, you will be suspended the following Tuesday.  This is an opportunity for you not to be suspended, so please attend.

Athletes to turn in their sports banquet forms turned in by THIS FRIDAY, Friday, March 11!

Attention All Non-Seniors!   MBCC has reserved a tour date for Edsel Students on Wednesday, March 9th. There are limited spaces available for both a morning session and an afternoon session.  If you are interested in possibly attending Michael Berry, please come down to the Counseling Office before Monday, March 7th to sign up.  Note Freshmen:   Sophomores and Juniors attending MUSTl take priority. 

Seniors!  As usual, the Edsel Ford art department is looking for this year’s outstanding senior artist!  If you are interested, please submit a portfolio to Ms. Daly in F13, or Mrs. Patroniti in F3 by Monday March 7th.

Attention students: Tickets are now on sale for Edsel Ford’s most exciting event of the spring: the annual Sponge Dance.  This years theme is A Trip To Candyland, and it will be held on Friday, March 18th.  Tickets are $25 each, and only $45 for couples.  Buy your tickets today during A or B lunch, or in the Student Office after lunch.  Don’t miss out on this awesome night of fun, dancing, and – of course – lots of candy!

Auditions for the Spring Musical will begin Tuesday. We have an exciting line-up of possible shows.  The sign-up sheet and information are on the board outside the Choir Room.  See a Drama Club member for more information.
