Good morning, Edsel Ford! Today is Monday May 5th… CINCO DE MAYO! AY AY AY!, and these are your daily announcements!

 

Thank you to the students and staff for raising $218 during “Hats on Day”!

 

Attention all French NHS Members: There will be a mandatory meeting on Wednesday May 6th after school. We will be discussing chords for seniors and inductions for the new members. All attendance is needed. Please be there.

 

There will be a meeting of anyone interested in helping with  the 2010 senior class party, likely to be June 4th, 2010! All interested parents, guardians, supporters and other friends are welcome to attend and contribute time, energy and ideas on May 7th at 7:00 pm in the cafeteria.

 

Tryouts for the 2009-2010 cheerleading squad for both football and basketball season will be Friday, May 15 at 5:30 in the main gym.  We will have clinics on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday May 11th, 12th and 13th from 5 to 7 p.m.  You MUST have a physical to attend the clinics and tryouts. 

 

This week will be your last chance to buy prom tickets. Friday May 8th will the last day. NO EXCEPTIONS! Buy your ticket at lunch for $90 a couple or $50 for a single.

 

Guest passes for prom are available in the Student Office and can be picked up before and after school or during lunch hours. They must be turned in no later than May 11th.

 

The 8th Annual Benefit Concert is THIS evening at 7 pm.  This is the the 2nd annual “Fanfare for First Step” where the proceeds of this year’s Benefit Concert go to help support First Step which is an organization that helps protect and support battered women and children.  The suggested donation this evening is $5 per person.  Please come out and listen to a great evening of solo and small ensemble vocalists and instrumentalists.

Seniors: all library materials are due by May 15th.   All fines must be paid to avoid graduation difficulties.

 

Any seniors interested in trying out for Senior Commencement speeches must pick up an information sheet from Mr. Machak in C6. A typed copy of the speech is due by May 15th.

 

ELPA Scores for the 2007-08 school year can be picked up in room D-11 from 6:50 am to 7:10 am daily.

 

Today’s sports:

Boys Varsity track is away against Gibraltar-Carlson High School at 3:30.

Girls Varsity track is away at Belleville High School at 3:30.

Boys JV Baseball is home against Dearborn HS at 4.

Boys Varsity Baseball is away at Dearborn HS at 4.

Girls JV Softball is home against John F Kennedy at 4.

Girls Varsity Softball is away at John F Kennedy at 4.

 

Today’s lunch will consist of:

Spicy chicken patties, chicken patties. Chicken noodle soup, mashed potatoes and gravy, vanilla pudding, and of course chocolate chip cookies.
