Daily News for September 18, 2009

Good morning, Edsel Ford.  Today is Thursday, September 18th, and these are your daily announcements.

 

If you have failed a core class here at Edsel and are interested in making up the credit in a new after school program, please see your counselor immediately for an application. The cost of each class is $150 and you may take one class at a time. The Credit Recovery program is here at Edsel Ford from 2:25-3:25 Monday thru Friday. Credit recovery begins next Thursday, September 25 at 2:25 in room F8. All students who have registered and paid need to report daily beginning the 25th.

 

Singing auditions for Les Miz have arrived. Sign up for an audition time outside Mr. Doyle’s choir room. Times are: after school today from 2:30-6.

 

Come join Teens for Christ on Wednesday, September 24th for “See you at the pole”. We will meet at the flagpole in the front of the school at 6:35 a.m. to pray for our school, teachers, fellow students, and country.

 

All students who drive in our parking lot must have a student permit, no later than 9/26.

 

Attention students… If you ride the bus to and from school, you MUST have an I.D. starting on September 23rd  to ride. We will be taking I.D. pictures on September 22nd. Please make sure you have a current I.D. at that time.   No I.D.,      NO BUS!!

 

The Spanish Honor Society will have their first meeting today, at 2:30 in E-7. All inducted students should attend. Any interested members should come also. Hope to see you there!!!

 

Attention seniors:  Baby ads are due to Ms. Beck in E12 by October 31st.  See the yearbook staff for details.

 

Attention seniors:  Senior pictures must be turned in to Ms. Beck in E12 by September 26th if you want to be pictured in this year’s yearbook.

 

Homecoming tickets will be on sale this week and next week at both lunches:  $25 for single and $40 for couple.  Ticket sales will end Thursday, Sept. 25.

 

Guest pass applications for the Homecoming Dance are available in the Student Office. The cost for a pass is $5 and is due when your pass is approved. No applications will be accepted after Sept. 22nd- NO EXCEPTIONS!

 

Please see Mr. William Ali if you would like to be a member of the PTSA student committee to work with the PTSA parents on school related issues and events.

 

 

Now for today’s sports:

Boys freshman football will be home against Crestwood at 4.

Girls’ swimming will be away will be home against Grosse Ile at 6.

Boys’ JV football will be home against Inkster at 6:30

 

Today’s lunch menu will consist of: 

Chicken nuggets, potato wedges, hamburgers, cream of broccoli soup, chocolate pudding, turkey subs, and spicy fries.
