Daily Bulletin: October 27, 2009

Today is October 27, 2009 and these are your daily announcements.

 

Any students caught in the hallways without a signed planner during a hall sweep will be disciplined.

 

Congrats to our lady T-Birds on the varsity field hockey team on winning yesterdays state playoff game against Grosse Point South, A Division One team, in overtime with an ending score of 3-2. Due to this victory, they are now ranked 8th in the state. Keep rockin it girls!

 

First round of the playoffs will be this Friday. Edsel Ford vs. Inkster at 7 PM. Tickets will be sold during your lunch period. Five dollars for a ticket. No passes will be accepted.

 

Anyone who is interested in playing Ice Hockey will need to attend an informational meeting on Monday November 2nd at 6 PM in the Edsel Ford cafeteria. You will need a completed physical form on file before try – outs. Try outs will be on Tuesday, November 3rd from 1 – 2:30 PM. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Picano.

 

All Class Officers: there will be a meeting after school in room C-3, on Wednesday.

 

Teens for Christ will be having a meeting Thursday October 29th everyone is welcome!

 

Attention Spanish NHS members remember there will be a meeting today only for those going to Whitmore Bolles on Friday.

 

The following colleges reps are visiting Edsel this week: Madonna Wednesday in third hour and Eastern on Thursday in sixth hour. You must sign up in the counseling office in advance.

 

If you are interested in knitting, bring your project to F-13 beginning on Thursday October 29.

 

Today’s T-Bird sports are:

Boys varsity soccer is away at the MHSAA Regionals

Freshman girls volleyball is away at Annapolis High School at 5 PM.

Girls Varsity swimming is home against Crestwood at 6 PM.

 

Today’s lunch is: Turkey and gravy, mashed potatoes, chocolate cake, and home made dinner rolls! Yummy!

 

The Random fact of the day: The numbers 1, 7, and 2 can all be found on the back of a 5 dollar bill in the bushes at the base of the Lincoln Memorial.
