Juniors and Seniors: College reps coming to Edsel are:  Western Michigan-today in 2nd hour; and U of M Dearborn on-site admissions Thursday 10/15. Please sign up for a blue slip in the counseling office prior to the day of the presentation.

 

Attention Junior girls playing powderpuff football: PLEASE bring your $5 to play or turn into Alyssa Girardi.

 

Attention any Juniors or Seniors playing powderpuff football, the game has been switched to Tuesday, October 20. Any players who plan on playing must pay the $5 pay to play to either the Junior or Senior class officers before the game day!

 

Attention Juniors, the PSAT test is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2009. The test is a pre-SAT test. The results will give you an indication on how you might do on the SAT, if you chose to take it. It will also show you your strengths and weaknesses in the academic areas. PSAT is the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship. If interested please see Mr. Kiefer in the counseling office for more information by Thurday, October 15.

 

Students: If you had a semester GPA of 3.5 or above last school year and did not receive an invitation to the Undergrads breakfast please see Mrs. Wojo in the main office ASAP!

 

Attention seniors: The deadline for senior pictures for this year’s yearbook is Friday, October 16th. If you had your senior pictures taken at a studio, just make sure that studio is planning on sending us a CD and that your picture will be included. If we don’t have a picture, your ID picture WILL be used!

 

Attention all students if you do NOT want your picture in this year’s yearbook, the form MUST be turned in to room E-12 by Friday, October 16th or your picture will be used. Forms can be picked up in room E-12 or the main office.

 

Anyone who donated a dress for the Class of 2010 dress sale should come pick it up from Mrs. Haddad’s room in a204. Please do so before the end of the week. If you would like to donate the dress, please let us know ASAP.

 

Students  if your parents drop you off in the morning please note that parents are NOT allowed to drop students off on Rotunda Drive. Or make U turns on Rotunda. If they do they WILL be ticketed.

 

Join Teens for Christ, Wednesday, October 14, in room A2 for a short meeting. Everyone is welcome!

 

There will be a very brief but important boys basketball meeting for those who will be trying out this year. The meeting will be on Wednesday , October 14th in the main gym. If you have any questions please see coach Baydoun in the counseling office.

 

The Thornley Court Club works outside in the courtyard, fund raises to earn money to purchase needed items and grain for the courtyard animals, hold praties, and plans a yearly field trip. Our meetings are held every Wednesday after school upstairs in Ms. Lawlor’s room. Everyone is invited. See you tomorrow!

 

 

 

There will be a German NHS meeting the today  after school in Herr Sedore’s room.

Have you ever wished you could leave a reminder for someone forever? Do you have something to say that you want everyone to hear? Now’s your chance! For only five dollars you can buy a “shout out” which will go on one of the pages in this year’s yearbook. There are only 256 pages, so DON’T wait! As a reminder, the yearbook staff and advisor do have the right to refuse admissions or censor for appropriateness. See a yearbook staffer or Ms. Beck in E12 for a form today.

 

There will be a wrestling pre-season meeting on Wednesday Oct. 14th. The meeting will be from 2:20 to 2:40pm. Pre-season work outs will be Tuesdays and Thursdays starting on Oct. 15th @ 3pm.

Today’s lunch is chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes and gravy, chicken Caesar salad, chicken wraps, cherry jello, and chickeny chicken noodle soup.

 

Random fact: all US presidents have worn glasses. Some just didn’t like being seen wearing them in public.
