Students- Please be advised that any violation of the student code of conduct that results in ISS or OSS will preclude you from attending after school activities for a period of 30 days. Repeat offenders will be excluded for the entire school year.

 

All Juniors playing powderpuff football turn in your ten dollars to Alyssa Girardi of Michelle Kerr by today.

 

Students please turn in all absence excuses and doctor’s note to the attendance office.

 

Schoolcraft college is hosting a college night on Wed. oct. 7th, 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Stop by the counseling office for a brochure.

 

Edsel students show your pride thisss week! Today is 80s day, Tomorrow is Senior picture day, underclassmen wear the following: freshmen wear red, sophomores where yellow, and juniors wear blue. Friday support your thunderbirds by wearing your homecoming shirts or t-bird apparel.

 

Seniors The Senior class picture will be taken Thursday Oct. 1dt during sixth hour in the gym. Tou must attend all of your classes to participate in the picture. You must report to your 6th hour class for attendance then report to the gym with the required ticket for entry to the gym. If you attend DCMST, MBCC or have a college class first hour you need to get your ticket in the student office. Remember you need a ticket for entry, report to 6th hour for attendance and you must attend all your classes to participate.

 

Attention seniors: The deadline for senior pictures for this year’s yearbook is Friday, October 16th. If you had your senior pictures taken at a studio, just make sure that studio is planning on sending us a cd and that your picture will be included. If we don’t have a picture, your ID picture WILL be used!

 

Attention all students if you do NOT want your picture in this year’s yearbook, the form MUST be turned in to room E-12 by October 16th or your picture will be used. Forms can be picked up in room E-12 or the main office.

 

Hey everyone remember yearbooks can now be purchased online at yearbooksforever.com. You can also purchase baby and buddy ads, as well as Edsel Ford gear at the same website. Don’t wait another day!

 

Have you ever wished you could leave a reminder for someone forever? Do you have something to say that you want everyone to hear? Now’s your chance! For only five dollars you can buy a “shout out” which will go on one of the pages in this year’s yearbook. There are only 256 pages, so DON’T wait! As a reminder, the yearbook staff and advisor do have the right to refuse admissions or censor for appropriateness. See a yearbook staffer or Ms. Beck in E12 for a form today.

 

Thank you all students and staff that participated in the Deaf awareness ribbon contest.

In third place was Khadiga Nahsal who pinned 19 students and 8 staff members for a total of 59 points.

In second place was Daniel Frantz who pinned fifteen students and 11 staff members for a total of 70 points.

And the student who passed out the most ribbons was Kervis Boston. Kervis pinned 12 students and 12 staff members for a grand total of 72 points! Way to go guys!

 

The following college representatives will be visiting Edsel Ford next week: U or M Dearborn- Thur. Oct. 1; and Michigan State- Fri. Oct. 2. You must sign up for a blue slip in the counseling office. No blue slips will be given the day of the presentation.

 

Hey freshman! Do you want to help protect the Earth? Then sign up to join the “green club”!! We have lots of exciting things planned to do this year. Come see either Mrs. Haddad in A204 or Mrs. McAuliff in the academy office for more details! The first green club meeting will be held in Mrs Haddad’s room in A204 todayyy at 2:15! The meeting will be short and there will be treats!!

 

Auditions for the Fall Musical “Cole!” based on the life and music of Cole Porter are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday sept 29th and 30th beginning at 2:30pm. Audition requirements and a sign up sheet will be posted on the performing arts board outside mr Doyle’s room.
