Daily News for April 8th

Good morning, Edsel Ford.  Today is Tuesday, April 8th, and these are your daily announcements.

 

The

University of
Michigan Flint will be hosting a college visit at Edsel Ford on Wednesday, April 16th at 9:30 a.m.   Interested juniors and seniors may sign up in the counseling office.

 

It is time to apply for Link Crew for next year.  This is an opportunity for anyone who is an 11th or 12th grader next year.  You need to pick up an application in counseling or the main office, or from Mrs. McAuliff.  Applications are due to Mrs. McAuliff by this Friday, April 11th.  Current Link Leaders also need to fill out an application if interested in doing it again!

 

Students who wrote paragraphs to drive at Ford Motor Company:  If your name is listed on Mr. William Ali’s window, you must pick up a waiver and permission slip from Mr. Ali and bring it with you Thursday.  Mr. Ali will have details in his office.

 

Do you want to see your favorite teacher cook your food?  The Freshmen Class is hosting a Mongolian Barbeque night on Monday, April 14th from 6 to 8 pm.  Come join us for an all-you-can-eat barbeque.  It is $20 for adults, $10 for children.  There will be door prizes, a bake sale and MORE in the restaurant lobby.  Tickets will be sold at lunch.  See Mrs. O’Brien or any of the freshmen officers for ticket information.  And remember, GO MONGO!

 

There will be an Islamic Club meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, April 9th at 2:20 in Room B13. 

 

Congratulations to members of the EFHS Vocal Music Department on their fine showing at the MSVMA State Solo and Ensemble competition:

 

Nick Candea, Mandie Elmore, Sarah Gapa, Arielle Thomas, Amanda Roush, and accompanists John Haury, Sara Jakubiec and David Zobel.  Way to go, Thunderbirds!

 

Students who are interested in testing out need to sign up with Mr. Baydoun in counseling by Friday, April 18th.  The district testing out exam days are Thursday, May 8th (for world language tests) and Tuesday, May 13th (for all other tests).  See Mr. Baydoun if you have any questions.

 

Today’s sports are as follows:

Boys & Girls Track at Woodhaven at 3:30

Boys JV Baseball at home v. Divine Child at 4:30

Girls Soccer at Saline:  5:30 for JV and 7:00 Varsity

 

Today’s lunch will be chicken patties on a bun, spicy chicken patties, mashed potatoes and gravy, chicken noodle soup, hamburger, jello, tossed salad, chicken caesar salad, chicken wrap sandwiches, cheese rolls, and cookies.
